Yes when people start to say that Infected (and other obvious names) are the true pioneers ect. etc. then it's time for me to stop debating or I'll end up using not so nice words haha Some people really should learn a little about our scene's history before they proclame such things based on very little knowledge about our scene's past

Ok Ok I understand

I will try not to provoke you into saying more hehe           Label DJ>

If you know who Afrika Bambaataa is you would know that it started in the mid 70's, but it didnt take some size until the 80's, i can agree on that.

And yes it is a bit offtopic

@krell

I humbly stand corrected, and apologize for my agressive response. Although I don't think so, I hope one day I can enjoy the psyculture as you have...

Cheers.

@Neuromantik

Its ok, I understand why you react like you do - It gets frustrating to hear people preach about what psy is supposed to be, and then see them practice something else or perhaps be treated like some sort of 2nd rate person just because you see things differently.

You enjoy PsyCulture your way Thats allways the best way for the individual. Im not sure my way is the best either.

PsyCulture without sceptics or people questioning what some of us might be doing, I think that would not be ideal either.

Kind Regards

Handa, you didnt understand me mate..i didnt ses Infected are pioners, they are just on the first place on this djlist

and Cedric, I respect you my frend, and I respect what you do with this promotins. Bolive me !!!

BUT! I hate when somedoby is trying to tell me that that’s the way we should go …you know ??? What does name commercials meens to you. Making sex for babes ???
Come on, I read here some stories adout how it cost, cavering/mavering/top mastering…5000$ ??? noooo I have it for free….WOW
I REALY don’t like to see party commercials in local newspapers, television also, cemercil radio stations..whay, because it will make more quantity but leas quality. And the promoter of the party is trayng to tell you that that is the best for the trance music. I realy respect what he is doing for the scene and for the artists who works on all parties, thay are working music and living from that. And I realy understand that thay MUST to work sometimes like that. That’s the biznis, its very simple @. Work and don’t talk a lot. That’s it…
Tha same story with you, do this promotion, you must to (to say it), you have interest from this…AND I RECPECT THIS…its not such a shame like you sey in one previous post here. But don’t tell me that that’s the way we should go. And that’s way I seys in my first post, just I don’t think so..

hello again....

I had recently almost the same discussion in a french forum, where , at the end of the topic , we realised that everybody agrees on one thing :
As long as the artist will do the music he wants, everything is a question of taste..."commercial music" is also a question of taste...what you call "commercial" is very "underground" for some other people....
But as an artist, i can easily understand that some artists tried recently to put a lot of vocals, i didn't myself because i don't like so much vocals, but when you create music, you want to experiment some other kind of music, just even to proove yourself you are abble to make something else...
but for me, this kind of idea is much more "commercial" than just to vote for your favorite artist on a website...

Anyway, it was still a nice discussion...neuromantik was a bit rude compare to the previous posts here, a bit too much, but i have to admit that i don't disagree with everything he said....there was just some other ways to say it...if only every topic could be so "politically correct"

Hey Ced...

I can definitely understand the want and need to experiment. Experimentation within this and other genres are the key to keeping the music from becoming stagnant. The only thing that I don't fully understand is the need to release the experiment under the project name that the artist has become known for. It would be like your favorite alcohol brand making a whole bunch of non-alcoholic energy drinks and still calling it the same name of your favorite alcohol.
This little bit of misdirection would get all the die hard people that love that particular brand (or artist) to purchase that new material under the pretense that it is something that they are used to.

There are indeed multiple solutions to this as well, that's why side projects are created... Of course the most difficult solution to me is also the most logical. When you write music, have a wide range that you cover... You're not just a psytrance artist, you are an artist that tends to write a lot of psytrance... If that makes sense.           An Eagle may soar, but Weasels don't get sucked into jet engines.

All votes are much appreciated and i thank everyone in advance for taking the time to create a user account. To all other DJ's, we should start a list since we can vote every month and keep voting for eachother to ensure growth.
