I like the CEM sound, had a CEM VCO A-111 and CEM VCF A-122 and they both sounded great to my ears.

The Tetra's strong points are the polyphony but mostly the very powerful sequencing and modulation matrix.

would like to hear the mopho x4 in real. from the video you posted (watched in hd quality on youtube which should make for better audio quality as well me thinks) and its sounds rather thin and harsh to me..? not what you would want an "analogue" synth to sound like really? i mean you can hear it has another quality than a digital synth from the sound but it does not sound very appealing. anyway, interesting sounds coming out of the machine and with modern music and mixing styles the "harsh sound" could lead to less post fx processing itb and good sitting sounds for the mix. i mean i like my nord lead 1 to bits and it sounds harsh ;-)           http://www.ektoplazm.com/free-music/stereofeld-frequenzwechsel

the step advance mode for the sequencer is my favourite, also having four lfos per part that go seriously into the audio range

one gripe.....slightly suspicious of the oscillator....at the lower end there sounds like a bit of rate reduction going on and some extra brightness at the high end...??????? like a DCO

man...i get my six track back plus a shitload extra features           Â°Â°Â°ACTS 4:12°°°°

yeah if your looking for polyphony.

for highend analog sound, pure signal path a happy ending kit with some module look like the best bang for the buck but still not cheap...a rubicon vco and a good multimode filter like the jp6 clone(similar to sh101) from amsynth or a Intellijel Corgasmatron... ouch ouch .
i m thinking to expand the Xs with this but so much choice

was very close to buy it but went with the Fr Xs cause it was 15% off for future retro 10 years birthday but i think the pittsburgh might sound a little better ! their filter sound very good imo and the vco too.

but some of their most intresting module are not included in the fondation but it could be a good starting point ..if you buy this you will never stop buying more modules , it s like drug, you will probably end selling all your mono synth to buy more modules..more filters, more vco, more strange modules.. hehe

modular is the way to go, want a new filter just buy it.. a new oscillator same..it s better than buying a new synth each time imo.. you just buy one module here and there and sound quality is top notch .

and with expert sleeper toshlink or spdif / cv interface you get sample acurate timings, better than midi , their soft silentway is great to generate cv too !

I didn't like the sounds the guy made in the morpho video , found them all very harsh stuff , but yes thats a part of the dsi sound , i think its the character of the filter , u can get some nicer sounds on it though           http://www.soundcloud.com/essio

hehe, serious GAS alert here I think Thanks for all the wonderful hints/inspirations on how I could spice up the sound of my phatty even more. Lots of stuff I should consider once I have the funds for it.

After playing with the phatty for a while now I got the urge to really hear its phatness, so my latest funds for music stuff went into a sub I now finally ordered. (hs10W, should fit well with my HS80M's)
I'm really excited that I will soon feel and hear the phat lowend...I guess the next investments will be some room treatment then           My first track:
