So, I was done at work a bit earlier this day and I could noz resist to use that time for the music store thing

They didnt have any of those Synths there which PoM mentioned, so I started to try the little phatty out. This took surprisingly long, because I had a hell lot of fun with it The shop was nearly closing then, so I just couldnt resist again and took it home with me. They have a nice 0% financing model at the moment, so I paid 400 bucks and the rest is due mid january...should be no problem...I guess

Fuck the Minibrute and its long delays
I just hooked this thing up to my setup and had a bit more fun...cant get that smile off of my face now

phattys a modern classic.....had mine a few months now and still feel the same as when i got it

on another note had a chance to hear the minibrute properly and am qite surprised with the richness of the sound.....not just a toy then           Â°Â°Â°ACTS 4:12°°°°

I've had enough with all the analog synth talk.
As soon as I can find a Slim Phatty for 600 or less, I'm buying it!

im going for the ultranova.. although not that fat like the new analog rivals i feel that in psy to fit those deep and fat sounds into a mix is pretty much undoable.

so paying to get a fat analog synth just to eq the hell out of it to fit it in the busy psy mixes is counter productive for me.

I see the An1x for sale here all the time.
Usually around 200 they go for.
Owned one myself for a brief period, but I didn't like it all that much to be honest.

i m not familiar with it at all , i used it a few times in the past...but from the samples i hear online and from some ppl i trust it supposed to be the most underrated va as some like it more than nords and virus.. but after it s just taste, would need to get one to really judge by myself

about the topic the ability to not save preset is a very good thing and it should be not something that matter much in the choice of a synth...you have all your vst for this... a synth you have to record everyhting to audio with limited midi / no presets seemes like hassle but it can totally boost your workflow in fact ..

Guess my Slim Phatty is coming in a few days
Got to an agreement to buy a 4 month old Phatty for 600.
Now I only need a X0xb0X, Proco Rat II and a few Mooger Foogers and I'm all set

But let's first see if I can (finally) manage to make some music once I have the Phatty.
Pretty sure though that after a while, I will convince myself that I need some addons to spice up the synth, because that is holding me back from making tracks

Its not the easiest synth to fit in a mix for sure...but once you find the sweet spots, it delivers like Domino's.

it will never happen ,there is always synths you will want and chain components to make their sound shine (processors,fxs..) hehe

right now i m lusting after the lexicon pcm 80 that is supposed to even smoke highend eventide with some of the fx quality (probably a matter of taste )
sorry to give you new ideas where to spend money
i was dreaming about these lex units back in the days and now it can be find so cheap !

Get the Lexicon PCM plug in suite if you can find it anywhere cheap

But yes them PCMs where brilliant sounding, although I must say that it did not smoke the Eventide Eclipse I had when it came to reverbs. The Eventide has some brilliant reverb algos as well...and then there are all the modulation FX that come with it.

And yes, you will never be set...net thing you will need the Minitaur as it has phase sync and sounds even bigger than the Phatty....then you will need an analog poly, along the lines of the P08 or Tetr4...etc...etc

yes but its even more expensive and ppl say it not sound as good. i m intrested in the 80 cause it not only reverb but multifx , i would just have to patch it in the chain and it won't be any hassle to use on synths.. it make me think hehe maybe when i get some money
