And finally a real good artistname in the psyscene: volkermord (which means genocide), released on the asylum of darkness compilation.

I'm optimistic that we'll be able to reach the level of some black metal bands.

So come on, let's burn the churches!

I would like to agrtee on a simple but true statement by Kemic-Al:

And I have my opinion too .. that the more commercial the music is getting the rebels are getting more and more evil with their music which does not mean real hatred and blood shed and that balance it all ying yang

I agree as well. Much like in the mid 70's when Progressive Rock exploded with bands like ELO, Jethro Tull (and Pink Floyd to some extent) a counter genre appeared that was called Punk. Most of those bands had only attitude but very little music. How many bands do people still remember from this time? Sex Pistols, The Clash? It all was just a reaction to music that became to complicated for some people and they decided to rebel.

it was actually "who gives a fcuk about your intellect music just listen to this junk its music too" kind of attitude ................. but one thing you'll agree that some good bands emerged out of this attitude
To focus sometimes you need to spin hard on your soul's axis..... just don't ask how and what it means ;)

I would not just generalize if I were you about who has musical abilities ! !

I definitely still remember that era I was in it he he he Also formed a band called ‘GoNe BoNkErS at the time

And from the punk bands a lot of good bands and musicians came out of that genre of music The Clash, The Stranglers, The Damned, Stiff little fingers Siouxsie & The Banshees etc to name a few … while at the time everyone wanted to be Hendrix and most rock bands almost sounded the same, the same goes for wanna be zeppelin and the evolution of music was getting no where and only mainstream rock was in vogue

Which why Punk Rock was born and as everyone know it did change a few things for the good !

And it seems that in our scene that’s whats happening ! everyone wants to be Infected or gms or astrix to name a few while it’s getting us no where it’s just copy paste ..

Why wanna be someone else I always say !? while you can be yourself and people grant you for that instead of trying to sound like someone else !

hmm... Crass, Conflict, Flux of Pink Indians, Rudimentary Peni, Icons of Filth, Discharge, Extreme Noise Terror...

There are plenty of bands that plenty of people remember from that time. You only remember the groups that the media remembers due to you're being uneducated on the subject. Where did you receive your information from VH1 or Rolling Stone magazine?

I've been reading this topic and I saw people attacking/defending their selves, good arguments on both sides, but...

...I didn't understand what force drives these so-called dark-psy-evil-death-trance or whatever artists to put
- covers with blood, satan, human corpse or nazi-bunnies
- 'evil' samples like people screaming, some dudes or dudettes saying they are going to kill me and my family, stating that 'satan has arrived', etc.
- giving very scary/evil/satanic names to their tracks

I've read a post (I'm sure there are numbers of posts like that, I just don't have the time to read all 12 pages sorry ).. so I've read a post by guy defending this evil stuff by saying:

"Did any evil track-name harm you? Did it kill someone? No, it didn't, so what are you bitching about?"

Well, indeed, it didn't. I would understand all this evil approach if it acted that way, it effected you, killed you. But it doesn't it's just a track-name, sample or a cover pretending to be scary, serious... and is there something behind it? If there really is - what? What drives you guys?

Are you trying to say something? Well, here we are and we are listening (reading), could you please explain it?           [ cuBe ] :: cubeg.org •
