Your friend is really out of order taking aggressive dogs to a party. What the hell is he thinking? You really should try and persuade him not to.

Russ I feel for you man! I hate seeing things like that at parties, it's the worst, I actually think it's tantamount to child abuse. Not only is it horrible for the child it also gives us all a bad name... "Bloody irresponsible hippies"....           "One nation under a groove".

Hey Russ agree with you on both subjects. That story with the woman and the baby is really terrible. I think the party organizers should take care of this things.

russ
exactly
that is the problem if the parents dont act responsibly
if they are gonna trip, but think that they can still handle the baby; then they are wrong.
why do they have to take chaces especially in the cases where the baby cant even walk properly

and as far as dogs; as i had mentioned earlier that if everyone of the party goer was to carry his dog along then imagine the party with 100 humans and 100 dogs
and yes o towrse the situation as russ said, if the dogs happen to be aggressive (only 50 of them) rest 50 also tend to get agressive then.

Hi.
As a father to a 5 years old terrorist-angel, I am more than willing to take him with me to gigs, provided that they are open-air affairs and not a club party.
We took Ariel to the Good Karma party cruise, which was a very good experience for everybody - both for us and for the party goers who enjoyed seeing the little rascal running between their legs. We also took him to several other fests where there was space around, and I dont recall any problems.
About the drugs: common, Candy and all - one one hand you all take drugs, and on the other you say that kids shouldn't see it? a bit of hypocrizm... I have no problem with doing drugs in front of my kid - au contr'e, I think it might prove educational to him later on. I prefere him to learn to do drugs from me than from someone I don't know, and although these days my pharmacutical recreation is concentrated on Weed alone, its still better that he learns about it from me than to try and hide it from him.

About dogs, well, one of the worst acid experiences I've ever had included a raging Rothviler hound charging at me while tripping on Hofman2000 - believe me, its not a recomended experience. if you wanna bring dogs, consider it a public park: you may release your dog only if you are 100% sure it knows how to behave, otherwise you risk others.

Cheers,
A

hehe.... i remember seeing r e l (auspexx ) in that cruise & i think it was fantastic for him & for the people who saw him ... he was surounded by so much love & was so happy , i dont see anything wrong about bringing kids to parties ...

Dogs should be allowed at parties. But people shouldn't bring their dogs if they only cause trouble. (That's for the owner of the dog to decide)
There are some really cool dogs out there that make parties a lot more fun.

One time a dog came to me with a stick in his mouth and wanted to play fetch. I played a few rounds with him but after a while I got bored and he wouldn't leave me alone no matter what.
I was getting a bit annoyed and then the owner of the dog saw me and told me: You know, all you have to do is say "give it a rest".
And as soon as I said that the dog walked away to find someone else to play with. I couldn't stop loughing.

So from my point of view, cool dogs are welcome at parties. In fact, I would like to see more dogs and less... let's just call them 'unrelated people'.

Babies are also cool as long as their parents make sure they got earplugs all the time.           If God dropped acid, would he see people?

And what about people that have allergies and cant be around dogs? Should they stay at home so the "non-egoistic" dog owners can bring their dogs?

And what if I'm alergic to dust? Should I ask the people not to raise so much dust while they are dancing? (in other words: your allergies are your problem, take your medicine)

Outdoors parties are about being outdoors. Dogs are a part of nature and I want them there.
Who gives you the right to say: "Take that animal away from here" while you are out in the woods?

That's not a way to bond with nature!

Come on now Psycho Forest you know that's a bad example and utterly b*******... if someone is allergic to dust I am sure that person would stay away in the first place!

I can see you know nothing about allergy!!

There are people that DO take their medication against allergy but still react if they interact with dogs... So basically you say that they should stay home and the dogowners should just come with their dogs and dont give a s*** about what other people think?? It's plain egoistic dude!!

Again if you decide to own a dog you have to take care and pride in making sure that people are ok with interacting with your dog before you bring it.... It's a simple rule! If you dont care what other people think and just do what you wnat because you think it's your "right" then you got a real problem with your attitude and respect toward otehr people!

With all do respect EP, you are the one with the attitude problem. You are saying "other people" while you should say "I".

Most people are not allergic to dogs.
Some people enjoy playing with dogs at parties, other dont care, but a few really suffer from them.
I don't know much about allergies but I do know that having an allergic reaction to a dog is not that common.

You should be the responsible person by admiting that you are a minority. It's all about numbers. Most people would enjoy/won't mind a dog at a party.

Of course that if you came to me at a party and told me that my dog bothers you, I would do something about it. But if I were you, I wouldn't say anything and let the people enjoy their right to play with their dogs.

So I say: let the dogs stay.           If God dropped acid, would he see people?

"Most people are not allergic to dogs"

Well there are quite a lot of people that are allergic to dogs. I am one of them and believe me I am not alone!
You would be surpriced to see how many actually are allergic to dogs.

And yes I say other people.. I am sure I am not alone with my opinion as you can see from other post!

I might be a minority and so what? Just because most of the dogowners of this forum think it's ok to bring their dogs regardless of what other people think then i should back down and say that it's ok? Wells sorry to dissapoint you but that I wont!

But I'll leave it up to the organisers... After all it's their parties. I do know that quite a few of them are quite tired of people bringing their dogs and children!

traveller it does not matter where you are if you're allergic to dogs or other animals... And as you very well know... dog owners do not bring the dogs in a leech... they let them run around between people!

Actually, allergic reactions to dogs and cats are quite common. I am not talking about the worst type of reaction (anaphylaxis). I'm talking about getting itchy eyes, runny nose, feverish feeling, maybe even hives.

I'm the only person in my family who is not allergic to dogs.
