The problem is never with the actual baby or the actual dog. From what I have seen at parties all over the world, the problem is with the parents of the babies and the owners of the dogs. I believe that it is fine for everyone to co-exist at parties together, so long as if you are a dog owner or a parent - YOU are responsible. At a party last year, I baby sat someones dog for over a day, and the owner could not care less where it was. Maybe these people should stay home instead??? |

well, I don't have a dog, but I do have a kid (now 2.5)....His mother and I met at a party, so, that's a start. Obviously, an indoor party it doesn't make sense to have a kid or dog, sure, loudness, but very smokey too. Not to mention that it can be a bit hard to get loose when you have to be with a child!
So, outdoor parties with lots of space is ok since you can be away from the music. An event where you can relax even with a child, some camping can be nice. Our son has been to a few festivals and we have had him wearing good earplugs since he was a baby so at least we can hang out with some friends. Not in front of the speakers, but behind, side, etc....it's funny, it does make you notice some of the harse aspects of parties! We all have fun and often mates take off with him and let us dance for a while!
When bringing your dog or kid or cat or elephant and it's affecting you and other peoples good time, , then why bother?! but, I also believe it's good to be supportive of friends with kids (and dogs) if there is a way to have a good time that isn't hurting anyone then I think it's greatto have community! It's great new dimension to life to have a child but it can feel like another planet, esp. with parties!
I mean, you want to trip out? something really psychedelic? talk to a kid.....
as for dogs, I got bit by a dog at a party once because it was totally freaked out by the music! and another time a dog was hiding behind the decks, sleeping, I was a bit drunk and I stepped on it, it also bit me, I deserved it....but it wasn't serious, more of a good story than anything else.....

I agree totally with Shahar and Syreel.
I have a 3 years old daughter, and I brought her for 2 of the biggest 3 days trance festivals in Japan and anothers small outdoor parties too... She use to ask me "when will be the next rave papa?" and constantly she says "I love parties" ..."I love to dance" ... "put some GMS papa" she's a freak already!
Some of my best moments on the parties it's when I see my own little daughter jumping and freaking in the dance floor. it makes me so happy, so... PROUD!
Wait you guys until you have a baby! How much time you can stay out of the scene until your babies grows up??? Sorry, but I cannot!
I go to parties to have a great time! Not to use drugs or destroy my ears. And this is what I want to share with my baby! Always!
I get a little dog in this christmas also! So you can imagine the way will be...
ps:Earplugs are essential for sure!

one thing i have to say its all nice with kids and dogs
but there is limits and enviroments where ist not smart
or even really bad when you bring kids or dogs
for dogs i know we had some places from farmers where cows are around or sheeps and when the dogs chase them its not good so better look for your dog next time
also its not good cause cows eating dogshit and getting sick NO JOKE!!!....ask some farmers they will tell you
about kids i would never go to a club with them
but on a outdoor party where you can choose you distance to the music and even if they dance a bit on th dancefloor with earplugs why not
they wont spending the whole day there anyway
at least not my friends kids
they wanna play after a while soemthing else
anyway and if on bigger parties where there is a place for kids its great cant be better if you are one of this little poopers
and about earplugs you can make them for them specially
so dont worry about noise and if the partys are all so loud why you people are still going and are not deaf
too funny perhaps you dont get deaf just stupid lol
anyway have to think about that one now if i can
so in this sense keep the dosg away from farmland partys and take care of them not just let them go
i experienced partys where dogs got missing in action
or also shitting all over and peeing on loudspeakers
so i would say take care and things will be good

Well .. Interesting topic that very tuching me - animals ! . I realy like babys and its always nice seeing them but i think that all this music around and on a high level and the deep vibration not realy good for them , They will find the right time by theyselfs to distroyed theres own ears . For the dogs i got 2 ! Two tempermant crazy veimaraner dogs . I live in a green place in the north of the counrty .. Place with alots of fields But there is that not and they are find this case/chance and time to take the dog with them , Its realy hard to look in your poor dog eyes at the door when you are let him stay at home . Im sure that at the same time ther is many peoples that doing that because they want a 100% of fun in there without looking after the pet in the all over the party . I always took my dog is fun .. !!! (My dogs Hearing trance all the day - In the house , the garden and the car) , But 2 years ago and when that i was in a party i see a black littel dog (pudell one) on the side of the road to the party and a girl next to him , the dog was look like a dead but he was alive , I tryd to understand what happend and she tald me that some one give him a trip ! . Its realy sad that there is a ppls in our world that dont "think to much" and do this things , From this day i stopt this trandition of myn of taking my pet to partys . But it is beautifful thing to see them runnig and playing together in the wild free nature and dancing with us and happy ! .
