People sometimes bring their dogs/babies to a party... ofcourse the two are not the same...

what do you think about people who bring their kids (babies) to a loud trance party?

what do think about dogs in a party... on the dancefloor...

about kids, i think they shouldn't be there, it's too loud for their ears and they need to grow and be healthy
about dogs...dunno, don't really find any dogs in parties

Babies I don't know IMO a party like this is not the place for a baby, for a family with kids about 12-15 I don't see a problem I even find cool (wish my parents would do the same, take me to a party or festival lolol)

Dogs, I've seen loads in parties specially in brazil, I think they are cool but some of them scare the shit out of me lololol I've already seen pittbull's in parties down their, and I don't think thats a place for a pittbull, so it depends on the dogs as well, I think that their are the nice ones and the dodge ones if u know what I mean.           "Great things are only possible with outrageous requests." I love to see both dogs and kids (babies included) in a party- I know from experience (mine with dogs, friends' with babies) that they all love it and have a great time.

Kids and babies especially respond amazingly to trance music, they either become very active and happy and then sleep very deep, or sleep very deep right away.

Dogs don't seem to mind the high volume music at all. They rarely respond to the sounds in the music, though there are some exceptions.           ---------------------------------------------

what i was trying to get to is the fact that our ears are much more sensitive when we are young then when we get older... there are little macroscopic hairs in your ear that when blasted with a loud noise and force (base) may be flattened and do not have the abilty to rise up again. this impares hearing and is pretty much permanent. an example of this is anyone who hung around large artillery pieces or tanks... the hearing gets impared. i suppose it depends on the type of party and db level in relation to the baby. i'm pretty sure its unhealthy in that sense.... and therefore irresponsible of the parents. again, not talking about babies held outside of the dancefloor, cause the db level there is much lower. also i agree that the experience for the baby/small child is a positive one, as long as the ears are protected.

regarding dogs: i have seen people give drugs to dogs and that drives me crazy... i'm not talking about blowing smoke in the dogs face, but giving the dog lsd for example. i agree with NeutroN that some dogs give me the creeps with their behavior on the dancefloor and i find myself unable to concetrate on the music, and be instead occupied with the dog. also again, the issue of db level is crucial since a dog's hearing is far more developed then human hearing and it would be a shame to mess with that, since they depend on it.

I think people should DEFINITELY NOT bring kids to parties. Spending even an hour in a party is enough to damage your hearing, and this is not fair to children. There are also many things at parties that children aren't ready to see (drug use, zombies, etc, etc).

If it is a small outdoor event, and you know all the people there, then maybe it is a different story.

Dogs...I would like to see dogs at parties, because I love dogs. I've always wanted one. I often pretend to be a dog. But I can imagine some people being very scared of dogs. Imagine being at the peak of an acid trip, and you see a dog running around? If you were scared of dogs, that might not be so great for you =).

i don't get how someone can ruin his/her kids hearing without feeling bad about it..

don't like the dogs either.. like @ samo 03 the dogs were from time to time getting pretty violent and fighting with eachother..

traveller...apart from the fact that you dont see dogs in zoos, IMO a party is very much a zoo...a circus! A microcosm of beings, colours, sounds, sights, tastes and often smells...compressed into a night...sounds like a zoo to me!

Also most parents know or do research on which parties are fluffy enough and maybe with a kids area before going.

Im not sure about toddlers tho' - their hearing is still so sensitive and developing...           Within this timeless gathering,

Dogs? No problem... I like playing with the dogs at parties. Me and my mates always take them.

Babies shouldn't be at a party. Young kids are fine, my friends take theirs and all the kids have a great time, they dance, they run about and play together and are happy, happy,. happy. People bringing babies to parties really pisses me off though. It's too easy for something bad to happen to a baby at a party, however responsible the parent is.           "One nation under a groove".

C'mon ppl, you've been partying in clubs and surrounded by fences too much, me thinks.
In a real nature party, you have all the space you need- Nobody glue their kids to the speakers! Dogs have all the space they want to run around and play.

The more colorful and diverse the attendents of a party are, the more interesting the party is to me.
When I share a party with families and dogs etc. I feel more like a tribe, I realize that the trance experience is bigger and open to all- I'm having the time of my life and everyone else is welcomed!

And why have you all turned into health fanatics here suddenly? You sound like my grandma... Nothings wrong with taking you're kids to a party few times a year.           ---------------------------------------------
