i'm with you mike !!!

it's so hard to find a good fullon cd this days...
labels are still releasing mostly full on because they claim that's sails ...

there's tons of young & talented artists with new ideas & fresh & beutiful music.

but guess what????

not many labels has the corrage this days to release anything besides fullon so we keep hearing the same thing over & over again

& another point to think about... trading tracks @ kaza & downloading music from the internet is killing music ... i'm not blaming the labels at this situation . they wanna survive !

To get back on topic here as everyone seems to have gone way off...

Mike you are 17 years old. You are not even legally allowed to attend a party. Trance is not only about the music that you listen to in your parents car on the way to school, its a way of life, a culture.....

My advice, go throw your toys about something else and come back in a few years time....           Sudha

My advice...Dive Deeper...

Hint: look for stuff from Japan, Australia and Finnland. Maybe even the US (Penta & Pradhamandala for example).

Israel (full-on), UK (prog. house), Scandinavia minus Finnland (prog/minimal) and Germany (techtrance) are over-exploting winning formulas imo.

I'm angry.
Trance music is ruined. It's not dead, like everyone says. Actually it's more alive than ever. But it's ruined. The music is totally fucked up and lost all attraction it had ever posed to me.

I tuned in to a radio show called Kamasutrance here on Radio Darom. 2 hours of the same thing. Repeating itself. Again and again. Maybe a different melody here and there. Wow. How refreshing. I got a CD for a review. Suddenly it's track 3. Oh, those were 2 different track? Ok....

Music today is repetitive. It's the same thing. People taking the some formula and "tohnim" it from all possible sides. There is nothing wrong with that music. But be refreshing. Can't be refreshing? Ok. Don't release the same thing. Just don't release at all. 5000 labels with 500000 artists releasing the same thing, and only 5 buyers. After that you cry why labels close and artists have no money. Everyone downloads a cracked program from the internet and makes sound. Not music. Sound. Quality control of labels focuses on sound. Not on music.

Music has became a collectors item. People no longer listen to the music. People download and get and receive. It's a shame to buy something these days. People work to get all the unreleased material, every release and every piece of music (music?...) ever existed. A person who "understands" in trance is a person who has 100 GB of music. Wanna see mine? 8.80 GB (9,450,017,536 bytes). About 50% is what I have on original cd's. 90% of it is pre-2001 music. When I tell people about that, I'm suddenly a person who doesn't worth talking to. Do people actually listen to those releases they get? Not hear it once. Listen. Listen to it 20 times and find out something new every single time you hear it. Nope. And then you complain why music sucks.

People cry about commercialism. Take Infected Mushroom. Making something new every album they make. Good music, good sales. Take some unknown artist with a debut album on some 2 week old label. Shit music, shit releases. But he has his respect, because he released on a label. Wow. Here, take a candy.

Where is respect? Where is the PLUR? I'm sure 50% of the people in this forum doesn't know the meaning of it. People who heard a nice groovy boom boom at some party and now collect the music. I miss the old days. Really. Now I'm 17 years old. When I was 14, it was all better. I just found out about trance and I went to shops with money, took a random album from the shelf and listened to it 10 times in a row, every time to experience a whole different feeling. Now I listen to an album. Ok, this is boring, when will it end?

Yesterday I listened to an old album I had. The first California Sunshine album. Not acceptable by any standard today. Sound sucks and hollow. But just listen to the music. Now that's something amazing.

Music is not what it was. Labels pop up like mushrooms after the rain, every track is a K-I-L-L-A together with some flashing smilies, and honor is measured by the amount of music and what connections you have.

Maybe I'm just missing all of the good music that's being released these days. Cosma's Simplicity. BLT's God Is Love. X-Dream's Irritant. Those were good releases. 2 out of those 3 I have on original CD. 3rd I couldn't find it. Maybe there are releases like that. I just can't find them coz 90% of the market is pure shit.

I've lost my faith in psychedelic trance. Now, if you may excuse me, I'm off to hear some emotional progressive club trance.

fOR A PERSON WHO LIVES IN ISRAEL ........the home of psy trance i find very hard to believe what u have said ...but hey i dunno ..what do i know ...but if u lived in the uk...then that music u claim 2 hate ...would just be figmant of ur imagination ....as i can garuntee u will never here psy trance on the radio or on any of the named clubs in the uk ...only when 00 fleming .is playin ....

Tho 2 b honest some the claimed psy trance aint really psy trance imo

ie biotonic - pop the question - more progressive that psy trance but still unheard of even its on a uk label .......
