My dearest fellah Detox
Just tell me one thing... you sit down and listen to a full ungroovey track for 5-10 minutes. You go through the process of listening to CDs you dislike in their entirety. You are telling me that you spent 42.5 hours of June.... good 4 you.

I just do not need that much time to proper LISTEN it and UNDERSTAND it and FEEL it and JUDGE it and then come up and say WHY this cd is really bad and makes me dislike it. It is a personal thing.

So all this criticism is IMHO bullshit. I think the real issue here is that many download the music. It is a pain to sort through all the unreleased music posted in the P2Ps by anyone... That is your problem... sorry.

No need for apologies here. Each is entitled to their own respective opinions.

Offthenutboom i already said that for every cd i need something like a half an hour to get an opinion for it.

And like i also already stated even if i skip half the tracks from the first minute i still got to listen 2-3 times the rest of the cd because i might not be sure if i like a track or not,i find some interesting points on a track though i dont like it in its whole,i might just like a tune a lot and listen it many times in a row in order to appreciate it.

Plus you forget one very important factor when listening to music.Music is directly connected with your MOOD and TIME of listening not to mention the SOUNDSYSTEM and a bunch of other factors.

What you might not like from your big soundsystem on a sunny evening might be your favorite music for the early morning hours before going to sleep while listening music through your walkman while resting on your bed.

And to give you an example i can only enjoy Atmos-Headcleaner album on a rainy and cloudy evening from my big home soundsystem, when i put the same cd on my walkman or listen to it on a sunny day then i just cant stand it for more than ten minutes.

You cant just listen to a track once or listen just a couple of minutes from it and decide whether its bad or good, this is impossible for the reasons i explained above and for many many other reasons too.

This is what i meant when i said before that people have lost their special relationship with music.

Music is art and should be treated with respect and sensibility, music is not just a bowl of cherries or strawberries where using our eyes we tell the good cheries from the bad ones and eat the good ones and throw away the rest.

I hope you understand my point here.

Sure Detox I get it. You are right. But maybe I am just looking for something very specific. I like to concentrate in one slice of the pie now. B4 I was more theral listening to music... but even then a bassline, a melody, a lead was enough to turn me off. I am very specific with what i buy. I have a very extensive collection of music, not only trance or even techno, but all kinds. I tune to a specific feeling when listening and I usually do not give a second chance to music that does not tune with what I search in the moment. I feel the first impulse is key. Rarely there is a track i do not like in the moment and later I end up loving.

But My coment was about labels right. I mean because I do not like the new direction for Wizzy Noise, IMHO very commercial, that does not mean I am going to put down the label because it is interfering with my taste and my time. And this thread is about that. About labels that clutter the listening space of some.. when this cluttering is about taste. It is about ppl who get annoyed by this fact and can't do anything but destroy with insults what others work very hard to achieve.

If you can listen therally to all releases... what is the complain about. You are the true gatekeeper. You choose the right music for you. You know the labels and the artists enough to weed out what you do not like. But let the labels, new and old, invest their time and money in what they believe. And that is key, because if not we become a society of control. The last time I heard psy trance was beyond that.

<hollow laugh>

Your example with Wizzy Noise: previously you might have been willing to give anything on their label a chance without listening to it first, because you trusted that label due to the fact that you really liked Wizzy Noise. Now that their label is releasing music you don't like (ie. WN's new material) that element of trust has been broken and you'll need to listen carefully now to anything that the label releases to find out if it fits your taste or not. So we go from being easily able to find good music, to having to spend much more time sifting through stuff, and all because one artist goes for a more commercial sound. Sure, I generalise here but I think the principle is sound, and if you take into consideration the amount of labels and releases as described by Detox... <shakes head>           Mastering - http://mastering.OOOD.net :: www.is.gd/mastering

Hey Colin I listened to the release on Saiko... It fitted a set I was playing for NYE with Yahel. But I think the CD was commercial compared to their old music in ZMA... But I will not say the label clutters the space, right? I like to have the choice and i like the label released it for that spefic occasion. So the truth is, that these label exist for a purpose within the greater community. SO the message is don't tell them to fuck themselves please.

And I have your first release on vynil BTW he he and the album from VOC... original, special and great music
