I think that wrong drugs used in the scene of psychedelic trance music does change the way the music sounds !!!

Take for instance the pills E's, coke, and any other drugs which are not related with psychedelics....

Psychedelic music should psychedelic enough so you wont need any drugs to trip..

That why you need tons of shit to reach the same level when listening to fluffy tunes

Some tunes just dont have that touch of mental creation...

ok we got the point, you dont like fluffy music, but I dont recall anyone going to your house, duct taping you down, and forcing you to listen to it. If you dont like, stay away from it, problem solved.           We are all visitors to this time, this place. We are just passing through. Our purpose here is to observe, to learn, to grow, to love... and then we return home.

Liquid-Vision - of course....

i like some fluffy music aswell.... we are merely pointing out that there are sometimes too much of that kind of music....

we should give the non-drug users a chance to get high, high on music

take it as a joke m8.....

Drugs do not change music, they change your perception of music.

I perceive both twisted music and fluffy music just fine both with and without drugs. (i.e. mdma, lsd, shrooms, hashish and alcohol) - However, I do tend to react to music in different ways while on a given drug.

Maybe, drugs like LSD could be said to favour really weird and truely psychedelic music(Grapes of Wrath, Kindzadza, Digital Talk), while MDMA would do the same for more standard full on (sillicon sound, sub 6, astrix). (this is like saying, a certain red wine goes well with cheese).

If people would only do LSD, would there be more twisted music ? Probably ? ? ? Perhaps if all people did LSD everyday, we would only have twisted music... (Id find that rather boring actually)
Or, if everybody drank alcohol everyday we would all be jumping around to german folks music ? ? ?
This however, ladies and gentlemen, is the real world

Heres a newsflash, people do what they want and the drugs they feel like - Shit, this is really farout, but you know - SOME DONT EVEN DO DRUGS !!! I know, sounds incredible does it not ?

I am of the opinion, that drugs have an influence on music - but its not THAT important. How do I come to this conclusion ? I know plenty of people who enjoy REALLY fucked up twisted music, but do it sober

If you want to influence what music is being produced, I suggest you start creating music yourself and quit trying to do it thru labelling drugs good or bad for a certain kind of music.... (Drug snobbery maybe?). Uhhh, Im doing LSD, Im so much better than all them fucking etards - ROTFLMFAO

You see, we all have musical tastes - and those of us who do drugs really do know what drugs we prefer to use.
Im sure, if anyone is unsure as to what goes well with what - they would ask

Last note - Its really great to see how open minded people are in the trance scene isnt it ?

I think that since all the times there was music and drugs related like let's take some examples - Reggae = Ganja, Techno = Extasy, Trance = LSD, House = Cocaine and bla bla so i think that depending on the feeling of the music the people will somehow adapt the drugs for it! No i do not think that music changes because of drugs, i just think that people relate a drug to the kind of music you are in! It also depends on the person example me i do not like extacsy or cocaine but sometime i like to take some acid and i smoke hash everyday(is one of my hobby) so it really depend on you i think but it won't change the music it will just give a different perception...           Your sound, is your music, is your soul keep them all on the right track!

Howdi Daniel Duarte

I did answer the questions in the original post by Xazy - as you can read I also talked about how certain drugs might influence music;-)

Anyway - here is what prompted me to write like I did

Quotes from Xazy
" I think that wrong drugs used in the scene of psychedelic trance music does change the way the music sounds !!!"
+
"2. Is this why we have so much fluffy (Not badly twisted,) music? ....some people call it also commercial !! "
+
"get your fluffy stuff out from here !!!!"
+
"well for realy Psychedelic twisted music you realy don't need drugs music is enough !!!"

Quote from RITM
"That why you need tons of shit to reach the same level when listening to fluffy tunes "

Quote from Triptocoma
"ritm - i agree with you..."

--------

Xazy talks about drugs basicly determining what music is being played in the trance scene.
Also, he wants to know if this is why there is a lot of non "twisted" music. It is clear, that he doesnt like this "fluffy" music.

RITM talks about how he knows everything about other peoples music experiences since he can actually enlighten us with the fact that other music than twisted music doesnt provide the same level of ehh (trance is it?) that the "fluffy" stuff does.
He can speak for himself, and not for everyone else.

Triptocoma he agrees.

Now, considering these statements - I find that expressing my opinion, the way I did is very much appropriate since I do actually feel strongly that drugs are not that important to the music experience as stated here. I do however know, many people think otherwise.
This is a debate, so if someone verses their opinion, others are welcome to comment on it ? And considering what these guys are writing, I comment it since I have a different perspective on the subject. (I hope we have established that I have a need to comment it hehe:-)

Sorry about the irony, but I fellt like giving it that tone - because I really do feel that the tone of the above mentioned isnt really open minded either. Since I am also very much sickened by the way people focus on drugs instead of music I have been provoked you see
I dont like people talking badly about music they dont understand - it is very much meaningless since its a discussion of taste. I can let it go, if its a matter of liking or not liking music - but when people starte connecting drugs with music, and talking about how the use of "wrong" drugs may be responsible for what music styles they are being presented to I think thats crossing a line for me. (crossing that line may result in me being ironic).
I do think some people go to parties ONLY for the drugs, and they dont give a shit about the music being played - but that goes for all the drugs mentioned.

Music is experienced on the personal level(as is drugs), you can always only speak for yourself. This debate to me, seems to be more about personal taste in music and drugs, rather than anything else. Like saying "I think this, so you must too".

Last, it would also have been great if it would have been defined what fluffy, twisted means ? I tried to do that in my first post here.

There! Some explanation huh ? And please, do read the smiles also (Im not REALLY barking at people you know)

*more smiles*
