Ok my 2 cents ( again )
1) Yes I agree on the matter that it is all about a journy, trying to make it diverse and unique is the key to a good flow.
2) I do think that these days the crossover line is very thin between trance & house which is good in a way but for me it still needs to remain psychedelic ( of course with a groove ) and more & more i get to here stuff thats really good but @ the end of the day it isn't psy-trance IMO
Yes it's cool to have some fat groovy housy tunes to warm up the crowd while having a drink a wiggeling their bottys but really once the party kicks off I think people and rightly so need more ( more psy , less vocals, more grooves and not necessery faster bpm's )
SO to sum it up a good party is a party with good music whatever it is imo but yes we are talking about psy after all...
3) I rather here FAT prog house anyday over noisy full-on but if you ask me what would fit better a psy-trance party then I think my answer would go the other way...

Well put Jay... I agree on all levels.
Yes, the music does need to remain psychedelic. But what I think also is that the 'trance state' is what makes something 'feel' psy. I think that can be done more with psy prog trance as well as SOME house (the deep and tribal kind), more so that SOME full-on. But I guess it's all a matter of taste.
