How come artists like antix, haldolium, son kite, sbk, frogacult, freq have not been here to play???Are we for real??????

Agree with your comments. But Son Kite have played London twice... I played along side them just before xmas at the Mass.

Working on getting the likes of Antix, Phony Orphants, Emok, Banel, Beat Bizzare etc to London/UK.
But it's going to take a while

Mass suicide might get some promoters attention!

Really... apart from some fine house from Sasha and Infusion (which I'm sure will play peak time on the main stage... and then some prog from Son Kite and Peter Digital I don't think there is anything else. And why bring son kite over and not get Marcus to dj? He is an excellent experimental prog house dj with great skill.

I tried to get the promoters to include me and some Iboga peeps but that didn't happen sadly.
Maybe next year

You are forgetting our lovely friend Anna ( Annarchy )
For me she's the one to watch out for @ Glade.

ehehe so the great debate has kicked off...to be perfectly honest I have no problem with tunes starting at a low tempo below 138 even down to 130 but I find myself that there is a real lack of music I like that isn't progressive in that tempo range...believe me I like variety but I find at our parties people just want to let go of themselves and get blasted!

my 2 cents worth init

But thats my point... why not have a mix of psy progressive and full-on to make that build up, full-on, build down. They do this all over europe, apart from here. (again this isn't aimed at label nights where you are showcasing your own music and artists)

yeah glen, i've seen that a lot in switzerland and i personally love having a prog dj to start and end the party- it can give the trip a really good kick- that's how i fell in love with prog.

Thats the old chestnut of "They haven't heard it, They don't know it"
The more you play people progressive music they get more into it, let go of themselves and for sure get blasted Not all progressive is one big fluff and dthe problem I see in the UK is that people just don't get the option to hear the music in parties. but there is a cry for it for sure and after being here for only 3.5 years i feel the change and it's coming dudes.

Sorry for all this maybe we should start a new thread dudes or go back to why there is not enuf prog ?

oooops yeah good point Jay... there is already a thread running at present about this. Right here...

http://forum.isratrance.com/viewtopic.php/topic/63226/forum/42

And all here... please remember this is NOT prog vs full-on... this is about merging the styles to make parties more of a journey.

..Nothing wrong with progressive music ~ quite like some of it myself...but there is no organised effort to keep 'progressive music' out of the London party sceneand so ther eshould be no 'concerted effort to include it if ther is no demand for it!....An analagy of 'Market forces' can be applied here!!!! If there is a market for something, pretty soon some one will step in to supply that demand.....innit! So IF there 'was/is/has been' ~ a demand for Progressive Nights/acts/parties... then some promoter or/DJ/group of mates.. whatever..... will have provided that kind of Party(product)!! That is how it works.... no?? So if after 5-10 yrs of indoor parties in London.... we still do not see a prevailant following of Progressive music/progressive parties/ etc.... then it must be assumed that the demand for it is low. Economies of scale dictate that as demand for a certain 'thing' increase ~ then so too will the supply of said 'thing' increase until the balance is upset and u have to many things and not enough demand! (as happened to PsyTrance parties in London about 2/3 yrs ago.... 4/5 huge parties a month + the biggest acts = overkilled the scene and after a while the partygoers got so burnt out from partying that the balance was upset and u had more 'supply'=(parties) than u had 'demand'=(people to go to all the parties).........
If Progressive music was in Demand ~ there would be Progressive parties enough to supply that demand... the fact that you get maybe a ratio of 7-1 Psytrance to Progressive parties here in London must in itself be indicative of the demand for Progressive Music/acts/parties by London Party People...

These days I enjoy the 'Journey' of a well planned party ~ BPM and style changes keeps the night interesting and offers u a sense of movement and progression...
However... in 1993... when I would drive up to london once a month, get off my head big style with me mates and dance like mad all night long after a hard month of work..... (at that age with that amount of substances in my body)... I would have been pissed off big time if , with 2 hrs left of the party... the music & BPM suddenly dropped down to 'sub 140BPM'!!!! After all I had gone to London to dance, Party and have a full on Blast ... just once a month!!!!....luckily..... Zero Gravity (Clerkenwell Clockshop) and Club Dog... didnt put on anything less than 'Full Power'
