One of the 1st psy parties i experienced was one where shift played an awesome set.. i have great respect for that man.. his music is great and his vibes are awesome.. my frenz and i have discussed like how shift's music doesn't really strike us as dark.. but where do u really draw the line.. its all about feeling isn't it? if i feel that protoculture is affecting me in a dark twisted way, thats my opinion isn't it.. others will feel differently.. mind u this is just an example.. i think shift has put it into words in the best way, u make the music firstly for urself.. if others like it, just be happy abt that.. |

IMO best producer in the world!!! I know hes technically not really a hot south african arteest at the moment, given that he abandoned us. But he's from Cape Town and making us proud producing the most killer music and blowing them away overseas...
maybe he will read this forum and realised how much we need him here!

lost & found, bruce, phyx, shift, slug, DAMN, actually all of em! i like most psytrance music, even the ones i don't like that much i like more than house or rock 
the SA scene is cooking at the moment, beautiful summer in SA! the outdoor parties and venues are awesome

@ Mandark and Code a, the thing is that you dont seem to understand is that what is psychedelic to one person might not be psychedelic to another.What you might consider as brainmelting psytrance other might consider as a pile of poo. Most of these people you are slagging of are the people that have worked their asses of to create the scene you have.So what if their music preference changes and they start playing it at parties.
I have spent alot of time in youre country and believe me you have it good.Now i am not saying it cant be improved,but rather than slagging people off and trying to tell them what you consider to be psy,make youre own parties,make youre own tunes,actions speak louder than words.specially words on the internet and specially the SA forum on Isra,i mean it doesnt seem to get to many hits.You get what i mean.
Anyway back to topic-Mate of mine just got back from SA and played me some Lost and Found and some Multistate tracks,Fuckin propa glitchy balls to the wall psy if i have to say so me self.
Also must say that Phyx's music really is pushing the envelope athough havent heard much in a while. |

look, its pretty obvious this code a guy and this mandark guy are the same person. Its also pretty obvious that they (he) has some serious psychological problems. anyone who says "the man's a genius!!" when referring to themselves is probably not right in the head.
now i believe in people's right to free speech but mate! this is a south african psytrance forum. and all these guys do is diss south african psytrance. they diss the parties. they diss the music, they diss all of us. they are causing nothing but negativity and fighting in an otherwise awesom forum.
maybe its time the moderators did something about it.
(i know people have tried this s#%$ on the bomelekisi forum in the past and they were shut down pretty quickly)

So, I've been getting a lot of private messages regarding troublemaking in the forum. Sorry for not responding to this sooner, but I haven't really been on-line of late.
As far as I'm concerned, you just have a case where you have different opinions to deal with people.
I think that the way that some of the opinions have been voiced is questionable .
Please try and keep it respectful and to the point. There is no point in being rude and disrespectful. In no way is this behaviour constructive.
The psytrance scene has always been about the freedom of expression for me and most people i'm sure, so I don't think I have any right in banning somebody from voicing their opinions on here.
I will, however, lock this topic.
Mind my mind. |
