have owned many(virus b,korg zi,xox,ms10,ti,nord 2,mopho,six track and several others and a modest modular setup years ago before eurorack).......but the slim phatty feels like my first synth

seriously versatile synth.....and cheep as chips           Â°Â°Â°ACTS 4:12°°°°

if ur first synth, id recommend my first-nord lead2x
i think its one of the best synths to learn synthesis, very simple to figure out and start programming and of course the sound, never outdated my guess is prob one of the longest if not longest selling synths, for good reason. Besides that u cant go wrong with a virus, but thats a whole nother beast. also moog voyager series, korg phatty series.. what the hell am i saying dont listen to any of us listen to ur ears since each have such different personalities, if u have a shop that sells them go play around and what ever tickles ur fancy the most buy

Sooo, I still haven't decided what to do

The Minibrute gets one delay after another and I really don't know if I will get one before the end of the year.

So I am still trying to find other Synths that could suit me, but either they are too expensive or they have features I don't like.

The first one has to be real analog, that's sure!
I want as much "hands on" control as possible. It seems I won't get around anything that has a display with menus of some sorts, but I definatley don't want anything where I need my computer to modify how the synth sounds (like a plugin to control parameters).
I want to be able to use that thing without my PC...for jamming purposes

I already fear that I have to go modular for these wishes, but I would like to have something less complex for a start...

Any Suggestions?           My first track:

And yes, the Slim phatty is something I am really considering, but I think I would then save my money for some more time and buy a little phatty. Something with keys would be great           My first track:

Ok, thats it. Just got a mail from the shop that the Minibrute wont be delivered before September(theyre only shipped to US yet)...which probably means that I wont get one even this year.
I will cancel that preorder now, go to the local store at the weekend and test some synths (slim phatty/little phatty and more) and then go home with what sounds best for me           My first track:

So, I was done at work a bit earlier this day and I could noz resist to use that time for the music store thing

They didnt have any of those Synths there which PoM mentioned, so I started to try the little phatty out. This took surprisingly long, because I had a hell lot of fun with it The shop was nearly closing then, so I just couldnt resist again and took it home with me. They have a nice 0% financing model at the moment, so I paid 400 bucks and the rest is due mid january...should be no problem...I guess

Fuck the Minibrute and its long delays
I just hooked this thing up to my setup and had a bit more fun...cant get that smile off of my face now           My first track:
