well mike i love soumi
and i also used to listen to the so called dark before it got thet nickname , but i got tired of it ,evey relese sounded the same and also to much of tham.
why the suomi fans dont going against it like fullon , well i dont really know all the soumi fans but i think its beacuse the this style isnt mainstream as fullon and less commerial or becuse they think its all the same
maybe they will answer you now.
there are also stil good dark music out there
and its also dance floor oriented music

So in others words, they go down on fullon just because it's mainstream? Or maybe not because, but also one of the reasons.
What if the suomi music becomes mainstream? The music stays the same, with those irregular grooves and surprising sounds, just gains about 30 times more popularity. I wonder what will people say then.
Is it really only the music, of there is also a part of it which is to go against the mainstream?

Well a) I atleast don't see that happening any time soon and b) full on isn't the way it was. When full on got big (maybe with Infected Mushroom's Gathering, some early SST releases and definitely the early GMS) it was a new thing. And the best of all, quite psychedelic. Now the glory is gone and only the energy remains, imo anyways..

Yes Suomi bit more remind me old goa(not as tones but as musicial talent) than darkpsy. |

Fullon and finnish producers get a very different attitude to music,
That's reflected in the music they make and who listens to them.
Most sucessful fullon producers is commercial in their intention and try to make music that sells, and make boring music because of that IMO.
The finns don't give a fuck if the track will sell or not.
Mostly you will find that the mainstream music is made with commercial intention.
Maybe the finns will become mainstream, but thats very hypothetical.

IMO that's the gist of the problem, and the origin of the misunderstanding with kaz. For the latter Goa Trance is first and foremost a music based on commercialized supports (i.e. released compilations or albums), whereas for you it is more associated with the atmosphere of the Goa shores parties.
One is a geographical definition, the other a commercial one. Whence your mutual disagreement I guess.

I lied to myself for a long time that the dark psy was evil and bad, but then I went to Goa a year ago and it took me back to the old days in 1996-97 and so many similar sounds and feelings in this style, remins me alot of compilaitons such as Tantrance 6 which I love!!
This is the new goa and it is the future of trance, |

but evil "death" psy is another
i see more and more tracks coming out with vocals of killing and death. i think those producers have kind of missed the whole point of psy. theres nothing wrong with dark sounds - theres still plenty of room for interpretation. but with vocals - your leaving the party with words like "kill" - "die" ringing in your head.
hmm - strangely enough rock went the same way. |

.. But illusions, don't take everything seriusly, you got to take it with a pinch of salt. I love Manson (and I am very very peaceful as a person), and you proberly think he is about "evil evil evil hate hate hate" things. It's just expressing yourself in different ways. Very often illusions, the music you hear that seems to be about death and hate is ofte in reality about the opisite..
