i think first 2 Hallucinogen albums and first 3 MFG albums and Oforia Delirious are a perfect example of sophisticated music!

Perhaps the new Prometheus album will be something for you then.

I think Eraser vs Yöjalka "Lord of the Liverdance" is pretty hefty as well. http://www.discogs.com/release/689272

Hard to say if you will like it, lots of weird noises in it, but also a healthy dose of melody / old goa moods.

You want evolution right ?

Ah, I see. Mmm, yeah! And maybe the solution is to stop concentrating on chemical drive like clubbing music, dance-floor "friendly" and "hit" potentials. Maybe we, as in they should get back to the basic. Back to psychedelic music with psychedelic substances in mind in stead. Maybe people should stop tripping in parties and start to trip more at home. Maybe this would lead to more tripper friendly music (want to dance, dance. Want to be still and listen while trippin in your living room. Do that) I feel basically that the main focus is on making Party music which will work good on a dance floor (mostly filled with straight and/or chemical drugged people).
Go back to the basic, go back to psychedelics. … imo of course =)

And like Krell clearly pointed out. There will ALWAYS be producers out there who is willing to push the boundary and follow their own innovating imagination. But this is an old complaint about bad music. Go look, and you'll find. This scene is just a little bit... watered out. (reasonable enough when considering the natural laws of evolution inside a tea cup.)

Perhaps it's time you go and listen to other music. Like many people here did.           Everyone in the world is doing something without me

And then come back again with new fresh inspiration sources.
This is essential if you want the psytrance to be more then mere... dance music.

no, come back and intergrate the new sounds/ideas/styles into psychedelic dance music, bringing the "psychedelic" genre one step forward again.

what i liked about the old stuff was how the artists seemed to come from different music scenes, blending it into a dancable 4/4 track (johan bley, tim shudlt, joti, dado etc all came from different musical backgrounds AFAIK) and that made the music diverse, and interesting. I think that most of the producers thesedays grew up with psy trance, thats why psytrance sounds so inbred thesedays... no outside influences.           http://www.myspace.com/mechanicaldragonrecords
