Gotta say, no matter what he's like in person (I think we've all heard or read reliable stories about him that contradict the 'official image'), his promo sure works for him!           Mastering - http://mastering.OOOD.net :: www.is.gd/mastering

Well, actually i do not see this video as promo! First of all i think he was really sincere as he was answering my questions. And the most important thing, i do not see this as a promo for an artist but as an attempt to make people think about the deeper meaning of the trance dance experience. This is the puprose of this video. Rarely i have met a person who can decribe these things and express them in such a perfect way. So actually i don'T care about the meaningless posts with always the same and the same arguments. Everybody is contradictory, the whole universe and the material world around us is based on contradictions. Sure you will find them in everything and everybody around you. It means nothing, even if he is contradictory.
We all are.

IT IS THE MESSAGE, what is important!!! Not so much the person but the message he has to give.

So i guess, this discussion will never end, but i just want to remind you, if somenody felt the magic behind his words, and would like to help me with a track for the soundtrack for the video about Kumba Mela, please do not hesitate and tell me. I do not need big names ot things like that, i just need some people who want to contribute a track for that. You can use samples from his speech as well as samples from the shouting sadhus while they bathe together with millions of piligrim in the Ganges. Just tell me if you are interested, i am especially looking for newcomers. thank you

To Mk47:

“he over charges” – Considering the long sets he plays, sorry but you have to be a total dimwit to conclude that $1000 is overcharging. (think dude, think)

“and wont share the stage” – In the video he explains that first of all he likes to do his own thing, which he is entitled to do. He is old and its understandable that he has his own vision of what a party should be, with a certain idea of how the set should progress through the night, etc. So if he prefers to not share the set, what’s the big deal? You don’t have to hire him or attend his parties. So then are you jelous that he gets the stage all for himself, or were you hoping to play along with him, or what exactly is the problem?

“most djs could wtf pwn him for dj skills” – Yeah and most people could care less about some brat with his pathetic teenage attitude trying to prove that he is better than Goa Gil

“theres nothing special about him” – No offense but you are the only one here that seems to be obssesed with Goa Gil, like come on, you jump at every opportunity to bash him like he is screwing your mom or something. Like do you have some issues that we are unaware off? Did he steal money from you or did he not smile at you at a party and hurt your feelings or something?

“grow a brain please .. all of you idiots ..” – Like fucking HELLO, can you not see that nobody is making a big deal about Goa Gil except you?

“psy has moved waay beyond him now” - Yeah sure, now go play with your Xbox.

i can't see videos in my computer

i don't know exactly what are goa gil's beliefs and i don't really care about that, but i must say that his music rocks! who cares if he doesn't mix that good.. at least he's the only one who plays 20hours of great hard dark music

i'm seeing him for the 6th time next month, woohoo           When I dance, I put myself in the DJ's hands to take me to a journey - the unconscious journey to reality

KARKEIJA KREW!!!!!!!! dancing is the phrr fo da powa

I didnt saw the whole movie , it was kinda interesting,he said a lot of things that were on my mind already and some new stuff too...I dont really believe someone actualy worships him, didnt saw anyone with a goagil tatoo on his chest or goa gil T-shirts or underwear(now i dont say they dont exist , maybe, who knows?).Majorly i dont give a fuck about anything anyone has to say, i just keep useful things in mind.
well he just said that u have to think for yourself.
I think the most important thing is that he does good trance music and his thing! And i think he is one of the grandfathers of trance culture for sure(if to believe to what they say).Big respect to him just for that. His visions about parties are similar to mine and not just to mine only.I met a lot of people who think the same about how a party should go.Like from dusk till dawn and from dawn till dusk till u cant stand on your feet and you go to chill out.

Respect to GoaGil and the beautiful lady who worked on that movie:)I will try to see the movie again when the stream will get high

Whatever said and done, for better or for worse he still does what he believes in!

I have way too many fingers to count the number of artists like that.

Even the local drug dealer selling some quality dope Overcharges...and nobody would ever question him why he overcharges....so hope this is quite understandable so its not a question of money that i see here....and i am quite sure that none of the tokers out here ever compromise money when it comes to good shit....

About him not sharing the stage , firstly like a lot of ppl agree that his parties are rituals and he very well knows how to get ppl involve, evolve and liberate their souls, unlike other parties where lot of dj's do the dog-eat-dog shit, not all dj's share a common motive of uplifting collectively.

Its sad to see that psy is moving in a very different direction as per how it all began.

Its nothing special about him , nothing special about me and neither anybody, its what he offers, and his approach that makes him special.

Regarding giving him a title of Grandfather or Pope or Pundit, its not him who is demanding the title, its the inner feeling that ppl have towards him make them respect him in that manner. So if you don;t have any respect for him, you don;t have the right to disrespect him too, coz he hasn;t come to your doorsteps or got down his sadhu clan and compelled you to respect him as a grandpa or pope.

When ppl esp dj;s say that he plays shit, that clearly shows the jealousy amongst the dj;s and their anxiety of how they miss the respect , fanfare being shown towards him, if they really think they should deserve the same respect, fame, they gotta be doing something ground-breaking and i am sure that we all will begin respecting such artists or djs for their acts too.

Regarding sadhus being scammers or with malicious intent, you'll find such ppl living in every nook and corner of this world disguised differently, could be a pastor, minister or anyone u could never imagine, so its all upto your conscience on how you judge ppl.

So just live your own dream and surely they will manifest to reality, let him live his own and keep rowing your own boat.........

Regarding Kumbh Mela its very easy to just sit in front of your dumb box and talk, visit this event and only then can u realize that how this event could get your inner light shine brightly. The energy flow one would experience in this festival is uncomparable to the most Powerful of Nuclear Reactors on this planet...

100% agreed D.A.R.K

If some djs can't like him, at least they can respect

him.

offtopic-ontopic: Grandpa within psy-trance = He's an old guy who has been doing psy-trance since long long time ago.
So why shouldn’t he be considered a grandpa of the psy-trance scene?
