2 observations -
- why does everyone get so riled up at the mention of Gil? why is the house always divided, and vehemently so? is it an intrinsic divide - like conservatives and liberals - then what is it exactly?
- why has no other artist/dj of repute followed gil's ideology? |

...well i dont know of any foreigners dj musicians who were accepted into a naga sadhu tribe..the nagas are the highest order in protecting the sacred values of this universe which is within all of us !
we in the 21 st century have trance dance parties ...now all over the world.. many years back when the nagas met gil they felt something and initiated him into their clan..trance parties and consumptions of various substances free us from our mental patterns and we become empty in a way..this is where gil explores and transfers his knowledge via music into us...the power of this energy via gil has humbled me and i thank him for being... and doing what he is doin..

its just that you see the parties the lights camera action on a commercial scene..pretty girls n boys on ds and alcohol the whos who..comeercial the regular party club/outdoor etc....that you foregt to notice that ur in the presence of a humble superhuman doin his duty!!

this guy is on a mission..he goes anywhere anytime for anybody and will play long hours of music and engross ppl in a ritual...sumthin odd about this fellow..hmm

WOW, apparently yeah, some people do take it all very seriously. I guess then there is some truth when people point out that some individuals actually seem to worship Goa Gil.
And well despite the fact that I respect Goa Gil very much, the worship angle is more than a litte to much for me. But hey, to each their own I guess. |

Be unique u r and individual after all , but do learn from others.We all have our ways.You can share your ways too.Like all the roads leads to rome or something...Not everything is subjective to each person.There are similar ideas.I think no one followed his way even a little because it is very hard for some to accept what he accepted and to understand what he does(imho)!but a lot of musicians follow a path so fucked that i would prefer to follow the pope.Hey maybe he is hypnotizing everyone like those hindus hypnotize cobras that just comes out of the basked and start diggin in to the music, just with a more psychedelic flute.

its not about worshippin , its about respect .
and high volumes of respect are often misunderstood for worshipping ...and there exists only 1 'Goa Gil ' .
i have immense respect for the maestro , as in my case i started liking and loving psychedelic music and the whole psychedelia related to this culture all coz of Goa Gil parties ...its been almost a decade now ... been quite an evolution last couple of years in everything be it human race or technology or nuclear finds or music
and to each its own
