LEARN ENGLISH! FOR FUCK'S SAKE!!!!!!!!!
I'm tired of seeing promo texts of booking agencies, labels, artists and whatever written in CRAPPY SHITTY English.
God, this is terrible...
Being a native speaker of Hebrew, I can sometimes see how the promo text is a direct translation from Hebrew, including Hebrew words and grammar. I can only guess how it goes with other languages.
This is disrespectful to the music, to yourself, and to the listeners.
When people see something like that:
"D.j Mike A Is Very Famus In Israel Partys And Is Braking Dance Flors All Over The World"
It just makes them laugh, and usually not care about the music itself because this is just ridiculous. Absurd. This shows that people are not perfectionist about the product they are offering, and eventually it also comes to the music itself. Basic responsibility!!
It's all in the small details. If you can't do it right, get someone else to do it. We're not demanding an essay, just proper English. It's not an exotic language spoken by a small tribe somewhere in Africa, there are way too many people who can write it without critical mistakes.

So true Mike. When I see such badly written promo I automatically refrain from even checking the samples. Same goes for all those labels that wildly over exaggerate in their texts. Just go to the Promotional section and see that a very good chunk of promo texts there are downright ridiculous. Or just horribly written.

I agree, with reservations... surely proper spelling and grammar is a mark of professionalism, but some listeners might find it reduces underground credibility to have things picture perfect (not that I would agree).

Oh trust me some of these dudes cant. Some of the words people come up with are WAY too hardcore and abstract for MS Word to even recognize remotely and offer suggested alternatives |

i can only speak for myself as an american...but when i see something written in shitty english, i really don't care. I mean, no matter how bad it is, I can always figure out what they're saying. I'm just thankful that the only language i'm fluent in just so happens to be spoken all around the world.
