The real problem of the scene today

Language, not good enough english spelling and grammer

I say the real problem of the scene today is the lack of psychedelic language. If there's some engrish text written on the CD like ie. Yamabikaya where quote: Holy Spilits' http://www.discogs.com/viewimages?what=R&obid=71817 I couldn't care less, because their psychedelic language is up there with the trippiest ones, and thats what matters. Grammer, pfft.. who realy cares? At least a lot of this engrish language brings some cute smiles on peoples faces.

No no on He rested on the 8th day, on the 14th day he smoked all the marijuana to test the first batch.
On the 15th day he smoked all the opium he had created to test the first batch
On the 319th day he woke up and created 500 huge monsters he saw the night before.

As someone who appreciates the nuances of proper English, this has been more than troubling to me on occasion. Growing accustomed to it is the natural choice, and what can be said - some people are pretty much amatures when it comes to details like this, a shame because it really does ruin a chance that a lot of people will ever take it seriously (eg. people who can read). Taking this in good humor took me a while to achieve, but it's done now, but as mentioned - this has not always been the case.

I actually went to the office of a label to ask them "what the f$#@ is wrong with you people?! Do you not know how to spell? Do you not know anyone who knows English better than a fourth grader?" and other things like that. Naturally, the response was less than understanding, but then again, that should have been expected when dealing with people with literacy problems. So it ended up in a bout of fisticuffs, I got in one lil fight and my mom got scared, she said 'You're movin' with your auntie and uncle in bel Air'. I whistled for a cab and when it came near, the license plate said fresh and it had dice in the mirror. If anything I can say this cab is rare, but I thought 'naw forget it' - 'Yo homes to Bel Air'. I pulled up to the house about 7 or 8 and I yelled to the cabbie 'Yo homes smell ya later'. I looked at my kingdom, I was finally there, to sit on my throne as the Prince of Bel Air.

^^ agree.

the real problem of the scene is overbothering with unimportant questions like this one. i really dont give a fu*k what it says in promo text. to be honest, i dont even read it because it always says the same thing - how the music is good and innovative and so on and so on. promo texts are there to convince you to buy cd. the only thing that can convince me to buy cd it music itself. the whole topic is ultra-pointless to me...in the end i had a feel that you laugh at people who dont know english well           VA - Momentum vol.1 - Compiled by PhaseTech

Very well said man, all i care about is the music not the bullshit! If i read a promo in good english and the music is crap what's the use of all the good english? If i read a bad english promo and the music is good well man then i am interested in this cause the music is everything           Boom :)

bad english ain't a problem...
sentences like "been tested on dancefloors all over the world" are more annoying           <~< "the best things in life aren't things" - art buchwald >~>

i guess if the music is good enough, you don't need promo texts to accompany it....people will listen to it even if it doesn't have any....
the most annoying thing though has to be when people insert 'supposedly psychedelic' lines to promote their stuff....like 'feel the vibes growing out of you' and something random like that....
let the music be...
words can never explain what psychedelia is....           spirits of the plants

first of all yaya79 i dont know who are u... and u dont have any authority to say this words abaut me coz u dont know who i am...
and if u say that i'm kid... so yes i'm fucking 19.6 years old and i'm enjoying from evry moment now...
and if u more bigest then me so i think u need to get clap in your ass from MAMA ...

i dont whant to fight with u or somthing i just whant that u will internalize

To all people saying that it doesn't matter and only music matters:
It matters. If the artist/label don't give a shit about what they write, it portrays them as being not serious. Maybe they are also not serious about the music? Their business?
Again, it's not that hard to get the English right. Just find someone who can proof it for you. It's one of the most spoken languages in the world, after all.

Kaz- lmao. I had to read it again to understand wtf you were writing there, because at first I couldn't see the relation of cabs to psytrance.

@pavel , morfix is not realy good option
if u r israeli that speak bad english and need to write it down with morfix evry post u make is like trying to have usual person sending in japanese forum with translator , possible , but not realy good option...
anywayz i still think that atleast there can be one part of the forum for hebrew speakers , even that its international forum its also home for israeli trance (like orange page etc.) and as much its fun to feel like "educating" , i think its not best for the site itself , but my moderator days didnt started and prolly never will , so i leave the decision to the peaple in red
