We all wish we could take buckets of entheogens to enhance the music experience, I mean if we knew we could. But there are limits and the experience is not always like taking a walk on the park, it can be very unpredictable, quite challenging at certain times and potentially dangerous to varying degrees. So for good reason, not everybody is always up for it. But there is no doubt, almost all people that do go in there will testify to you that the magic feels very real, yeah and nothing like seeing it with your own eyes. Of course, people in sober land are still waiting for the proof of this magic, hehe, like they expect the trippers to come back with a math equation solved by the elves so they know that indeed those realms are a source of knowledge. (Hey buddies, maybe things don’t work according to the rules and expectations of sober reality and logic, perhaps the only proof is to be found by looking through the entheogen state of mind.)
Anyways, I think part of the problem is that you want the music to sound like when you are on drugs. And that’s not going to happen, at most it will seem like it. And what sucks is that you become like a beggar, hoping that the psychedelic sensation you once lived will return while you are sober, and with that needy mindset you miss the sober musical experience of the moment which can be just as good in its own different way. Maybe we just need to be more humble like children who are captivated by everything. I think a lot of the magic of music is in the ear of the beholder anyways, in being able to appreciate it like listening to music for the first time or as if you were told it is the last time. We always want more, and that is part of the problem since everything is relative. Of course really good music goes a long way, but you also have to keep the balance, a lot of music starts sounding good if you only give it a chance and let it flow at its own pace. Its the same story everywhere in life, we always want brighter, better, richer, greater orgasms. But how much do we miss in that mindset?
I stopped tripping because at one point I had to many thoughts and it all felt to intense and philosophical, and sober I have more stability and space to explore many thoughts with peace of mind. However the other day I decided to have just a tiny drag of weed, just a little drag and wow I felt like I was tripping. So at one point quantity is relative to your mindset and with the right mindset you can make small things seem big. So maybe sober is not little but big and surely I am sure it can hear some of the secrets of the universe and without a doubt be captivated by the beauty of music. Maybe all we need to be told is that the bright sun is not worth any less when we are not tripping, so we can dig it all the way, full on with all our heart as if its the very best thing we have ever seen like when we are high. Yeah and like the sun also a blade of grass, every person you meet and the music you listen. My point is that you don’t have to be rich to feel alive and since you don’t have to be high to feel the pain then why should you need to be high to feel the joy? Maybe its all on how you spin things.
Being high is another leaf on the tree, music is one of its branches and there are many leafs and branches. They all compliment each other and even though we do not experience all of them we are all part of the same tree.
Conclusion: no worries, everything is cool anyways.

while trippin u r more into exploring
not just dancing for sure u got higher energy
but u lose the sense of reality and the track won't sound the same the timing of the beats
u will enjoy it for sure
just dance and remember ur psychadeleic expereinces and the energy of ur body will rise by itself

this is what I said some years ago. I don't use drugs at all, not when i make music nor when i listen and dance to it.
but! -the thing is. - you (Acidhive)and I do not know what experiences we are missing out on since it is impossible to truly know any experiences but your own.
-It could very well be so that the parties we remember as great, mind-blowing, and which we even might use as examples of a non-drug succes, would have been even greater and more fantastic if we had been on drugs.
this does not change the fact that drugs are somewhat dangerous, but it sure keeps me from claiming I am on some higher mental psychedelic-trance level than the people who use drugs. I respect that choice as much as I hope I am respected even though I do not use drugs.

To be honest, I dont think its about partying all the time or listening to trance inducing music all the time.
Its about the quality of the experience, not the length. The two can of course be connected, but Id rather have 4 hours of REALLY good dancing/trancing, than 24 hours of mediocre partying.
With or without drugs, I dont care. Its not the drugs which create a good experience for me, its the music and the people. (Note, its the same which will fuck up a potentially good experience for me also).

all i need is a good splif and coffe i can dance longer and with much more intensity then when on drugs and plus the next moring i feel great . thats a big + i like to be in trance from the music i use marijane but thats it and yes i have tried them all and have had good exp but in my opinion its better with out you get a diferent feeling in a hole, but just keep in mind that ones vibe is not just in your head, every one can feel it so keep a good vibe and dont over do it.. |
