Like i have said in the past people who need drugs in order to enjoy the music are people who cannot understand,feel and properly enjoy the music when they are sober.
Not easy to get lost into music when you are sober you know,needs some intelligence and spirituality that not many possess.

haha at the comment above. Yes, you Detox. people like you are afraid of psychedelic. Dont like what you must confront (ego). Are you saying that people on psychedelics are weak people? (or are we talking C-Drugs here, if so, i'm sorry, and you are 96.3% right). Have you tried psychedelics. Do you remember that feeling you had. That bad and scared feeling. Almost like you where a little boy alone? All eyes on you. Paranoia. Can you remember the feelings of fear that you had Detox (just presuming you have some experience here). Then you know that your comment is strange and "ego" protective. I belive that a lot of people that have drug experience can see beyond alot that people with 0 exp. cant. I also belibve that the world is nor black or white, so there is always expetions. I belive a lot of things that are wrong. So do you. (sorry, just feeling a tad cocky after my "at the police while on mushrooms exp this weekend. I AM GOD!!)  ..

why do u think he's afraid of psychedelics? I don't do psychedelics anymore either... Does that make me afraid? I did it for years, sometimes more then once in a week... But i just got bored with it (there's an age for everything)... Now i go to parties without drugs and i don't feel less connected... What i DO feel is less disconnected, if u catch my drift 
I don't mind people doing drugs, i don't think they're weak or anything like that. But i do think that detox is right... If u cannot understand, feel or properly enjoy music while sober then u just don't like that music and u shouldn't be listening to it... If u need (it's need, not use, need means that u can't do it without) drugs to understand/feel/enjoy any kind of music then u just don't like music. Not that there exists one person in the world who dislikes all music... Drugs can make u like anything, grownups even watch teletubbies on drugs...
Also, music always has an effect, even if ur sober... Otherwise human kind wouldn't bother making music... Just like painting... it's a psychedelic experience an sich, and drugs only enforce that, it doesn't mean that it isn't there if u don't take drugs...

Jesus man, you taking drugs even reflects in the way you can't form coherent sentences, or even words. And quit talking bullshit, it's starting to smell here. I have never taken drugs to enjoy psytrance or enhance the experience. So you can't say every psyhead (stupid name) has done the same thing. Contrary to what some people might have told you, drugs are bad for you. You behaving so strangely reflects perfectly what long term usage of LSD is capable of: "The drug experience sometimes spurs long-term or even permanent changes in a user's personality and life perspective."
In your case, hell, it's probably talking bullshit. But hey, blame the drugs, not the user right?? Wrong.

Psytones dont focus on just a specific kind of drug,look at the whole picture and what is going on today in the scene with thousands of kids in countries like Mexico and Brazil going to parties and taking whatever drug you can imagine in cocktails and transforming into zombies for many days in a row.
And by the way i dont think that many people are into LSD in this scene since its not so easy to find it and even if they are into this kind of drug i think that the people who invented this drug said originally that one should experience 2-3 full trips in his life not to take LSD on a weekly basis whenever he goes to a party.
But thats just details i guess in todays trance scene where the music culture has been replaced by the drug culture.

Unfortunately I have to agree with Detox. It often seems like psychedelic trance culture has been replaced by drugs culture. I see many people in parties who come there purely for drugs. How can I see that? Simply by their behaviour, all fucked up unable to enjoy the music, atmosphere and surroundings, messy and noisy or unconscious. One must remember that psytrance and psychedelics used to go hand in hand, it was a combination, one whole experience that cannot be separated when that path was chosen. There were not many people around who came purely to fuck up themselves and possibly others. It all comes down to the concept of individual freedom that has always been strong in psy scene, but should there be a limit? In my opinion there is a limit, the limit is crossed when someones behaviour disturbs other peoples party experience in a way or another. Limit is also crossed when someone OD's, it has much impact on party feeling and puts it down, it makes other ones spirits go down and worst of all it damages the individual him/herself, in worst case scenario it leads to death. Gopendra wrote all ready before that moderation is the key word and I agree with that. Its not meant to trip on psychedelics on weekly basis, especially on acid, it can put one's mind on overdrive, which then might lead to so called "frying". Too much is just too much. This goes for everything. Moderation. |

Right on. In a few words you said exactly how I think about this matter. And about the drugzombies, it just reflects what I already thought. This scene has far too many people using way too many drugs. It's a shame really, since this music is good enough to be trancing on without drugs. Just open yourself to it, and it'll make you feel even better than with drugs. At least I can say that when a song totally trances me out it's because of the music and because of myself, and not some drug that totally enhances the feeling.
Also, I can't bring myself to feel sorry for people who OD on drugs. It's their choice. They should've been more careful, and anyone knows too much of something is mostly a bad thing.
