i can see it more and more this days.....
there is almoust NO party in israel without progressive music....
there is more new prog artists then full on... i can see the change in the air..

The last 4 parties that I went to where progressive. On one of them (lemon club) there was full-on on another floor. I went there to 5 minuets and lost my apatite. prog is what's in my mind now!

And whats wrong with that?
Even if you are not a progy fan, hearing the same kind of music all night (and morning) is better?
The music should have a build up, from the begining of the event till the end. |

Goa Trance & Full On Trance at the moment couldnt be possibly more boring except of a few fine releases all is completely uninteresting and getting nowhere.
Proggy music on the other hand is much more diverse, ear pleasing and PSYCHEDELIC at most of the times...
But after all I guess it is matter of who is open minded and willing to accept the new and the different

well I think that this depends on where you're standing...
progressive has seem to be more popular here since the older generation just cant handle the psychedelic and the rising of the BPM to more than 150...
but progressive is declining in most of the world, at the VOOV EXPERIENCE festival in Germany the progressive floor got cancelled and was changed to the alternative floor - to the main stage which is psychedelic, how much crowd does a progressive artist attracts apposed to a full-on ones?
if any genre is rising these days it is the dark which is one of the more succeesfull evolution of the full-on... IMO, you can witness much more dark artists performing around the globe, much more parties exclisivley playing this style, and it is becoming less and less underground in an already underground scene - offcourse with its pro's and con's
so the supposetly rising of the progressive (maybe mostly in Israel)just illustrates the seperation between the younger and the older generation
in the trance culture and it is a natural proccess of an electronic genre that is around for almost 20 years

I disagree. Good music is good music that can be easily respected even tho if it is not THE style u like best. But when all genre is deleted without even considering to listen or comprehend I consider this to be closed minded. This has nothing to do with taste.

Yeah they're shimons pumped up on extacy, little kids that don't know a thing about trance and psychedelia, and we prog lovers are the coolest the hipest and the most open minded people on earth 
Come one people aren't these discussions soooo 2003?  In my opinion in one year we're gonna have everyone moaning how all progressive sounds the same, all music is copypaste and so on. Why? Because prog is the new hot thing for the wide masses and everyone wants to jump on the wagon. So all the promoters are incorporating prog in their lineups. Right now it's sounds hip and cool and fresh, there'll come a time when it won't. In any way everyone know's that elektro is the way!

True. But ppl that knows progressive, heard some Artists or tracks and after that don't like the music, they are not close minded. That is just not their taste.
An example: I gave a chance on listening to Dark psy music: Azax syndrome, seroxat. But 4 me this music is boring and I can't enjoy it. Am I close minded?
