Apart of that I dont see anything bad in fast and strong psychedelic music as long as it is made with good taste ( almost none today ) .

Yuli i got to agree with you on this one man .
For that reason ppl were encourage to turn over to progressive music !!!

but for " and the crowd is of my liking (completely missing today) " .
I dont agree with you !!!

There are good ppl !!

all the best

Well man, you are right indeed - there are good ppl

just last week I played a 3+ hour long full on set in the Minzar party @ the dead sea, and it was just fantastic experience just as always ( maybe a little better then always because of super great location ) so I and everyone else there had a blast. But most of the crowd that is connected with full on these days are not my cup of tea - too much agression in the air and too much show off, almost no true trance nature what soever. So I decided to play 2 - 3 full on sets a year in a banker parties where I know I enjoy myself.

With the proggy crowd the story is different, the vibe there fits me much more both as a dj and as a trancer, and so is the musical content.

i sure rather set 4 contenst then this last list..

and im neither prog fan or full-on fan.

anyhow.. rather that mainstream will be prog.. this full-on tend to make me go the car instead ruin my ears for ugly music . wont name names.. but some dj's make me wanna puke from their sets.

and huda-g.. u also play full-on set sometimes.. why bashing prog prog prog and finnaly play full-on? and dont tell me "thats what they want".. that will be commercialize before even got famous hehe.

i still like to play what i make.
even to get paid for that more then playing dj set casue i put in more then 20000 nis into that.
but may be here is the diffrence between play own music or dj set.
myself i mostly asked to play my own stuff and some unrealesed trax from my label so it will be weird if i rather play other stuff.
true sometimes it might not work.. so i have more stuff in my case offcourse. luckly it happens not more then 1 time a year.

and yeah.. bashing is talk and share thoughts here

have a good one

basicly i guess that im more of a dj and u more of an artist /studio freek

to sume it up i wish u good luck my freind and hope u will get to pley your music more and more and all over.

well yuda you act just like anormal un comercial d.j........
I play exactly those style sets .. each depand on the vibe/ppl/time that i spinn..
and yes its more comfortble to be d.j and got huge choice for playng then being an artist and be limited to yourself.. (for the good and the bad)

In my case it's not about the bpm. It's the music Itself. Dark psy is to heavy for my mind.

imho:
Well. As I see progressive; there are 2 styles.
1. Comer & liter on many tracks from this style you can find pads as a bass lines. This style is good for home listening or traveling, and even better as party opener!
Antix, Minilogue, Behind Blue Eyes...

2. Powerful and fatter
Has a strong bass line; more psychedelic and sometimes you can find yourself Dancing like its full on (like guy cohen said once.)
Yotopia, Freq!!! Liquid soul

I must admit that I am more of the 2nd style person.
I was once on party from the 1st style and it is nice and fun, but the 2nd is better.

I agree with u and i like also the more strong progge style. i think that he devolved into somefing betwine the full-on and progressive and can be could agrassive
