When i saw the psychedelic techno topic i coulndt resist to post this cause i have heard the term "psychedelic house" and try to find this style everywhere but im beginin to think that its only a myth...
Know any artist record labels tracks?....
i mean WATEVER!

if there was something psychedelic about it ... why would it still be called "house" music? ... wouldn't it fall under the name of "psychedelic music" anyways ..

i dont think exists  .. there is many psy prg labels like iboga records and stuff wich make this same housy kinda clubby vibe music . i dont understand why they call it `psychedellic` .. its clearly not psy from any angle
im not dissing the music coz i think its very good music and nice for dancing , grooving and sometimes ok in afternoon times .. but psychedellic its not one way or the other .. so just explore the iboga recs and similar labels and be happy |

... well fellows...
once i heard a song wich were clearly house but i dont know if you can call it psychedelic cause it sounded more like an agressive progresive.
the song (wich dont remember the name) sounde all funky but it had a lot of efects and breaks like in a lot of psy tracks.... it was very diferent for convenctional house.
i have heard some iboga samples.... and it was very diferent...

its not the sounds only that make it psy.. (neither the speed..)
And house music its definitely not psychedelic.

i agree that iboga has a techy housy sound to it.......and in my opinion it is for the most part more orientated for club.....not all of the artists and tracks but generally speaking most of them yes....although i think their quality of music they produce is very high.......
and for me there are "psychedelic" elements to their tracks....
and since there is nothing tangible that shows whether a track is "psychedelic" or not......it is all a matter of point of view.....
and for me.......i dont see why some "house" music could'nt be considered "psychedelic" as well.........why not? slower bpm.'s.....progressive style.....with "psychedelic" elements.....
this for me would be "psychelic house".
i like the idea of "psychedelic" music going to all genre's of music.......exploring possibilites........mixing styles....inventing styles..........i think this is a good thing......

to name some artists that i consider psyhouse crossbreeds would be.........mondays millioniarez, ski fi, flow job, minilogue, fitalic, peter gunn, human traffic and maybe my favorite of this style.......antix........
