Ive heard plenty of electronic music that wasnt meant to be psychedelic, but was anyway! Thats pretty much how I found psychedelic trance.
Its all a matter of perspective. Sometimes you have to think a bit more for it to seem psychedelic. Its not all gonna do it for you!

it saddens me to see people who are so silly to have the opinion that no house can be psychedelic. I will tell you this much. With that attitude YOU can never be psychedelic.
with that said some good psychedelic house producers include Antix, tomtron and liesegang, motion, D-sens etc. etc. ein chadash tachat hashemesh. there is nothing new under the sun. --kohelet. |

well i don't just belive that ...i also hear that ... i have my ears you know and I listen some of this projects as well ...but i can't considere them psychedelic... no way ... 4 example i love antix ...but i don't hear psy
i hear a modern more advanced house than those from house scene ...and that is it !
no psy ...progressive can be psychedelic but not this kind of it... some psygressive from zenon hell yeah ... IMHO of course ... oh no one didn't mentioned kruger & coyle some great psy house but i am glad that you have mentioned beckers

I'm so fed up with those silly denominations like Progressive Trance, Progressive House, Psy House, Psygressive, and whatever else.. There is, under the "Progressive" common denominator a wide range of influences that make its richness, from minimalistico to psychedelic and crossing what some would call more "clubby" sounds, some dark, some dirty electroïzed (my bread !) and so on.. And there is some good stuff as well as crappy to be found there, just as in any other musical genre.
The only thing that matters in my mind is that nearly nothing can be more exciting than a dancefloor during the day with smiling people digging progressive in its whole.

Why does the psytrance scene always need to associate every piece of music with "psy"? It already have a name. Progressive House / Tribal House! I never heard about PsyHouse and please do not invent yet another name for music that's been around for ages!
And to those who say it's not psychedelic and that it's cheesy Club music I can only laugh and wonder if you at all know what you talk about and if you ever listened to progressive House / Tribal House?
A lof ot progressive House and Tribal House is a 1000 times more trippy , hypnotic and "trance" than todays so-called "psytrance".

As far as I know Isnt Psy trance just a form of trance, which is another form of house? Right? Right!
Now as for psychadelic house... Try Acid house. The original and best. Or twisted house.
I also think it's funny that people need a label to tell them what psychadelic is.
House cant be psychadelic?
A fucking tea-towel can be psychadelic!
Anyway. It's all techno at the end of the day.

If you want house beats that are have something psychedelic to them, microhouse (like Twerk for instance) can be much more of a brainjob than most psytrance.

I think that the only problem here is the name of this particular style... Psychedelic House sounds like a title of a bad/low budget movie to me.. psychedelic music isn't about titles or names... those who love it and live it, they know and feel what is psychedelic.

Bah, maybe psyhouse, progressive and all this is better than today's trance, but it continues being far away from before 2001 old good trance.
Progressive music dooesn't satisfy me as goa trance used to do. |
