The orignal free party crews near where I live (Sheffield in the UK) were house rigs - and even now there are plenty of free party rigs that play house every summer weekend out in the hills. Its also very common to have the second room at indoor (techno, trance and psy) parties playing house. |

all it takes are openminded people to see that house is so many things and not just some cheesy commercial exploited music in a club in Ibiza or on the catwalk. But openminded people musically wise do not visit psy trance forums much.

sure , 1 drop of good lsd and everything is psychedellic , psytones i never said only 145 + bpm killar psy is psychedellic , and yes theres psy rock .. but is linkin park also psychedellic ?
.. but im open to suggestions anyhow , reccomend me some `house` music wich is psychedellic ..someone here mentioned trentmoller , sure .. good stuff .. but psychedellic :?: .. deffinitely not imo

Defiantly not, and people stating that everything is 'psychedelic', don't know. I remember one of my first mushroom trips. I had an obsession that I had to play psy/Goa-trance while trippin’, because.. each drug has it's own music. Marilyn Manson for speed, Tiesto for E's and Cypress Hill for da THC kind of thinking. You know? Well, anyway, one of my fellow tripping friends wanted BADLY to listen to some Magik (Tiesto's golden days compilations). I remember being sceptic, because sure, I liked the album my self. But right now, on psychedelic mushrooms. It just couldn't work. It's not psychedelic music, how can we listen to Tiesto?? .. Well, he changed music, and we took a ride in X land on shrooms. Boy did it not work, hehe. You remember when you had tapes as young? Remember if the tape was worn-out or the player was beginning to get empty battery's.. How the sound then becomes? I promise you, the music just didn’t have the right frequencies for mushrooms (psychedelic substances). Everyone agreed, we had to change.. And back to Goa, and wow, everything was running like it was supposed to (sound vice ect). So I believe more in the frequencies (ish thing) is what counts in psychedelic friendly music. Linkin Park is NOT psychedelic and wouldn’t work/connect well with a LSD trip. It makes sense, no? Taste is taste, but something has an objective truth. House has a lot of non psychedelic travel friendly music, but then again, it also have a lot of music that IS psychedelic travel friendly.
As said before.. tsk tsk tsk, people and their subjective opinions tsk tsk tsk

lets get clear!
psychedelic means one thing.
and psychedelic music means another diferent thing.
when i say about psychedelic house its a kind of the genre. NOT ABOUT WOT CAN BE PSYCHEDELIC AND WOT CANT, couse this is just a variable in everyones minds.
psy music in my opinion has somehing to do with sound EFFECTS in music.
just check wot is really psychedelic rock?
rock plus effect creativity. (not just using fx).
then psy trance its like
trance fussionated to FX, like incorporating new sounds produced for any effect or change in a sound possible, to the harmony, speed, passion, and power of trance.
In house i would say its like the same but the funkyness, BPM, and style fussionated with an abstract and more open producinf style
just imagine...
around 130-136 BPM...
a dry kind kick
A clearly house bass, funky kind, but the instrument sound like a saw synth...
back ground "funky sounds, samples giving the feeling of randomness.
voice. a clearly voice chorus with A LOT of effects.
...some crazy breaks.
when time i heard a track such as this that had a goa like synth!

I reckon The whole thing is an issue because here in israel, we didnt really get the early techno, acid electronic music properly.
Most stages leading to "goa" trance music, have skipped us.(Or we skipped them..). Or at list it wasnt as evalible as it was around europe (Probebly because this great music was coming from there..)
The "psychadelic experience" arrived in its full glory to israel only around beginning-middle of the 90's, in a form of trance music, delivered mostly by poeple returning from goa, after discovering that there is a crazy world happenning that we're not aware of! ..
Most of the evolution of it- we missed here. We missed the most important & interesting part of something we're breathing at the moment..
Its great to explore alittle bit back (LFO for instense)
House/Techno/Tribal/Minimal/Electro/Trance/Whatever
It was all there around the late 80's & beginning of 90's (as it was there from the moment man realized he's got 2 hands to clap with and 2 lags to kick, and that the cpmbination between the 2 can lead to a nice flowty feeling .. ). Its all growing and evolving from one to another and thats what makes it the most original, interesting trippy/psy/Acid/whaterver Music ever. (=
Open mind is the most important & great thing in music, definatly in psychadelic music anyway

We are based in the US. Our style ranges from a very funky progressive psy, to exactly what you might describe as "Psychedelic House". But you should just call it PsyBooty and be done with it;)
When I play out as a DJ, I play way more towards the house end of things. I play mostly tracks from Psy labels such as Iboga, PsyBooty, bpf and Tribal Vision, mixed in with anomaly tracks from the Progressive House and Tech House genres. What emerges is a whole new sound that is really a deeper, more psychedelic progressive house, or "PsyBooty".
