ok ok ok.. now wait a sec....
who blamed and who failed ???
4 pages of people who are sorry for me is way more then i want/need. so first of all lets make this clear :
1. i dont think i failed.
2. thanks a lot for being so caring, but i am not a child nor am i a cry baby who says "they ate my milky, they drank my zip"... i didnt blame ANYBODY, not dudu, pato niv nor asi * 2. i am the lousy promoter, and nobody else. more then that, although this is whats written here for so long, thats not what yuli sayd (and kept on saying on every post he wrote), thats just what you understood, or decided to understand...
now let me add this :
you think trance is all about free parties, or the other way around. you think that trance is just to put 2 speakers and have fun, you think trance is about hearing the same local djs all year round, you think trance means no deco, no security, no ambulance.... well i beg to differ. trance culture has been for so long that so many schools have formed, and i guess your views on trance come from where you first met it, where you "grew". growing up in trance i used to go to moksha events, i used to party in fat itzik's festivals, i took my first acid in yuli's and compost parties. those were the serious canons to me, nowdays i have the 3rd empire to look at and to espire to be like. forgive me for having to say this... i am not errogante, but raising a "hat party" is to me not a challange, and i LOVE chalanges !!!
a "hat party" used to be a true friends party. and i have been to some, and had a total blast, the atmopsphere there was super and everybody knew everybody. it was indeed something different.
but today it seems like every weekend there is a hat party. and some of them are heavily promoted.
now if you ask me, those hat parties, once they stop to be what they once used to be, friends parties, then they are just another poison.
why poison ? because the orginizers have a comfortable excuse for their lack of everyhting, from decent sound systems, to decent music, to art work (deco) and all the way down to security.
the audience gets this lame production who he should be "thankfull for" (candy's words in the double asi review thread).
and the djs start being afraid that if they dont come to play for free then the next time this orginizer makes a "real party" he wont invite them to play if they dont play this one for free.
just a side remark : is it possible that making a "hat party" is more profitable then making a "real" party ??? think about it, one thing is for sure... its EASIER.
now im going to say this again because i know no matter what you all are going to jump on my back :
not me, not yuli and not my mother who also enjoyed her self, blame anbody for the dakini loss of money (again, no fail).
hat parties are cool and natural and were always a part of our scene. BUT, it never took part in it's market. it was never meant to take over the scene like we saw in the past months. and if it would take over then there will be no place for the next big production to come in, because you really cant compete with a free ticket, no matter who you bring or how many loops in the air you can make.

yes you cant copmete beacuse there is alot of poeple that going to parties that dont really care who is playing where and dont really know alot of trance music and they surely prefer the free party |

a.your right! its not about taking over anything!! its not the CORPRATE world...its the psytrance world......
b.what are u talking about? how many have taken place? are people not informing me... 
a REAL!!! 'Hat party' is not about the big names,the crazy deco and the crunchy yummy sound(all mentioned can be a great bonus!!!)its about having fun! seeing your close friends out in nature! and not feeling your part of a PRODUCTION!! it is all about SIMPLICITY!!! and thats a state of mind i cant get tired of and will allways allways search for and support...
one thing i have no doubt about...many people (including me) will look for a big "quality" production from time to time,and 1000+ events will still take place and be successful...maybe if these take place less often(cause these events are many promoters goal there for we see a lot of tries...) people will start appriciating them more...maybe

o.k...this is my ultra super last post in this thread...
yuli and avishay u sure brought up some interesting points that i know that atleast i will give them a 2nd thought...
but 1 point remain the same theres no connection between that hat party and the fact that not enough ppl came 2 the desert party.
@avishay.
dont take it the wrong way..theres some ppl here that can see the risk u took with that one and respect u for that A LOT.keep it up.

i just think that when asi thought of planning that Hat party he didnt know what parties are gonna be at the same weekend .... and as the date came closer and closer and he saw what parties are gonna be in the same weekend its just was too shame for him to cancel the party he palnned for 2 month .... (since that i was invited - maybe it was even before)
i think no competition was sepose to be and no one thought even about it..... maybe i am wrong but thats just my point of view.

Competition might make us better individually, but not collectively.
Humans (as good trance parties taught me) are much better as collectives.
Just a point to think about it in a thread talking about commercial & hat parties among other things. And I think Yuli was also suggesting that we try and think as a collective.

2. I'm sorry for you too Avishay. Sorry I forgot to write that I'm sorry for you before. Really. Sorry.
3. You didn't fail- the party was greatly organized and all present had great fun I felt. At most you lost money, and that is not necessarilly a failure. It's better not to do it constantly, of course (unless you're filthy rich).
4. Ppl, nobody blamed anything or anyone. How typical of Israelis to always think that someone is blamed for anything that happenes, and that anyone saying something is automatically blaming someone.
5. This is one of the most interesting, deep & friendly threads I've seen here for a while- thumbs up for all of us who participated so far! We're good & nice people- maybe we should throw a hat party together

mmm i thought allot if to write here something at all or not, but there are some few things i have to clear
1)no one , but no one got in for free to my party, even if we turend around some cars...
2)the amout of sms i sent or didnt sent is not of anyone's bussines!!, btw, when u make valuations u assume that 10% of sms is the number of people u get in your party.
3)i did try to move my party but it didnt work out
4)me and avishay did talk before, but not henaf i gues...
p.s: after reading this thread i got to one conclusion... no more hat parties, from the simple reason that some dj's and artists actually make a living out of it...
i belive that who saw me at my party mostly saw me walking around between the crowd that 80% i knew personally so ...
all in all , we do have a very small intimate scene ,lets help her survive.
