Hi folks.. just to let you know, we're a bit delayed with the release for various reasons.
All pre-orders will be shipped as soon as they come from the factory, which should be in about 10 days.
Thanks for your patience, and thanks also for pre-ordering as this helps us with the costs we're running up.
So keep them coming.. and watch out for a really deep interview I'm doing with Isratrance on the Tsunami project!

Wondering how much of this money actually goes to the people who need it and not some drug lords or corrupted government officials.

hehe yes it's very easy to be cynical in these times but every possible cent counts and I still have some hope that mankind is generous in times of need. I have a fair few birthdays to buy for this year so I'm gonna grab at least 5-10 of these compilations |

Well Mike, we are donating ALL proceeds to the DEC (you can find link earlier in this thread). They are the main association and by going to them, we are bypassing having to lose money along the way from people taking their commissions and so forth.
It will indeed land in the right hands my dear

Ok. Let's say they buy food and distribute it in Sri Lanka. What if some militia steals the food and sells it to the people there, instead of giving it out for free like it should be?
Anyway, not something you can control yourselves. Besides, I'm against all this free food and donations. Why don't you teach them how to cope with distasters alone?
USA didn't ask for any help after the hurricanes last summer.
Give them a fish, they have food for one day. Tell them to build a fishing boat and they have food for life. Something to think about
Anyway - I'm going horribly offtopic here.

sorry for offtopic but: i thought about it.. and came to the conclusion its a pretty stupid thing to say
that may or may not be a reasonable proactive policy for dealing with regions where there is a potential for disasters to occur (and before they have), but it is a totally useless and ill-conceived reactive policy once they have happened.

No they don't. They just exploit their resources better.
So what I'm saying is to teach them how to use their resources, don't just spoon feed them.
tom - of course. I was not talking about this specific disaster.

I see it the same way as MikeA.
But i think it is this nowadays often normal thinking, they will built new schools and new hospitals what is very nescary for the people there. Not only for healing the ill people but also as place for jobs. (hospital just a example)

Has anyone mentioned that the king, yes the king of Thailand will give the children who lost their parents free education? Payed out of his "own" pocket? If this is true and so on. I think it's great
