Ka-Sol's Album 'Ghost Story' which has been released on Suntrip could also be something that fits more the term goa than any modern psytrance sound of nowadays. Maybe Forest Goa.

sad but true that any style with the word "neo" slapped in its title just proves that the artist aren't really good artist, just good at using the artistic tools to mimic the past. If im gonna seek a neo moment with past Goa or Trance i rather hear the original stuff when it was produced by artist not by copycats.
but if there are any links to where one could buy new trance reliving the past on vinyl then im all about supporting the none digital formats.

one of the latest Khetzal superpsychedelic Goa tunes!
Damn sees like he's one of the very last of a dying breed.
I wish more producers would remember what it really takes to make psychedelic atmosphere. These are truely timeless music that will work even in a decade on every acid dancefloor.

Thanks a lot, TimeTraveller, that was a great track indeed!
I have never been disappointed with any of Khetzal's music yet. Every track is a masterpiece.

that criticism could have been valid up to 2008 or 2009 at the latest. newschool goa has matured and since become a style of its own (actually it has also diversified and you find some artists or labels (anjuna/zion604) that make new oldschool goa among other things). but it really has a distinct sound now with sounds and structure, ... being quite different from oldschool goa.
imho it's also the only style that fills the gap of melodic, psychedelic, danceable music that fullon left when it became crap and subsequently died.

Big thanks to all behind this Goa revival and neo Goa scene, it must be hard to survive but you do an amazing job and inspire for sure me to finally get in to making Goa/psy music after years of house/techno/drum n bass work.
oh no! psytrance has also joined the ranks of repeating the past. It seems the music is a lot like the American economy, they keep trying to generate new ideas to keep it from collapsing. news flash : neo goa/trance is not new, its counterfeit. how long can the term "neo" be used before it not "neo"?
