Ok, what exactly does it prove? Sound is air vibrations and that's what happens when you apply a vibration on a surface. How do you derive from that fact the assumption that it can affect your genetic structure?

A lot of what Gopinesh stated earlier are beliefs that i share as well....
i believe energies can affect other energies and i believe that the our mind is a powerful one.
transformation of DNA. i believe its possible and if it is.....then it would take something to "trigger" it....
i dont believe that "music" alone can change the DNA makeup of everyone. Music may not "trigger" that affect for one, but it may for another....
there are many things that we cannot explain with just science and obviously there are many things that are unexplained.....so if you are a person that just goes by "science"' then you are always going to have many unanswered questions.....
so that leaves the rest of us with faith....
many cynical people laugh at people with faith, because it is not a tangible concept...
i dont want to say that i feel sorry for these people, because maybe they are happy that way. But, i know i wouldnt want to live my life like this.
being able to feel premonitions of things to come or moments of De ja vu....these things happen, at least for me they do.
They say that we use approximately %5 of our brain. just imagine what could happen if we were able to use 10 times that amount. I would imagine that the ability of telekinisis, telepathy and etc. and other things we havnt even thought of could be possible.
what i am trying to say is that i believe the mind is a powerful thing and that different energies can cause our mind to "trigger" or "react", and maybe just maybe "psychedelic music" can do that for some of us, because it "triggered" that effect.
I believe that it does change the make up of myself for me.

YEs exactly, have you ever had you mood changed when in the presence of vibrating air particles That is absolutly mystical to me. The music can do things that nobody understands. Why exactly is music universal to every single human society? why is it that every human can appreciate music? These complex, heirarchically structured, sets of of noises, organized in such a way as to actually make a human move with it. And then the human becomes part of the vibrating fabric but understands it ata deeper level because it effects his/her feelings. And then he/she can send her feelings to her neighbor by smiling and thus the piece of music has a new child joining the quilt.

Man first of all, thanx 4 sharing your thougts, at the beginin i loved this topic but i still think its very offtopic of wot this forum is about. But now is my turn to get my words really clear.
...About Music=Soundwaves or as i called it... noise.
Its a fact. all sounds are just soundwaves, music is a kid of sound waves too...noises.
The human creativity is one of the gratest expressions of us the humans.
This is were the "magic" and the beauty of music hapens.... inside us. is not the music it self, is wot it means to us. its like a real gift from nature.
but well. if anyone wonts to believe in music as an universal force that can actually make things that other soundwaves or noises would do as well. some other dude (mezcalito or sumthing like that) told that because of people with toughts like mines are responsible for the psytrance decadent scene. well i cant see why?
wots wrong with taking the things as they are?.
maybe "noises" is just a very "cold" name for music but "soundwaves" is a correct term liked it or not.

As i said... u cant expect miracles from science (thats just duh)

I cant agree more with you, Universe its HUGE, and the only thing that made us humans among the whole other animals realize that its huge was Science.
Religions descriptions of the universe arent very objective.

Its definitly a curious phenomena. Science definitly cant explain each case of miracles or things like that. i ve myself have had placebo cured.

It would definitly have a significant efect in a organism that is capable of somehow interpret the caracteristics of those wave, specially in a human.
we have a nice (not cool) sense of hearing. but wot really makes the shit. are the brains. a lot of brain areas are activated when listening music, diferent areas will react to voices and so. this interpretation becomes really emotional.. so that means that neurotransmitters are running, the glands are working and your body is "changing".
you can feel it but... do u actually know wot your body allows you to feel?
some cancer dont causes pain until its big enough
other kind of cell mutations hapens and we dont notice at all.
Im VERY VERY VERY shure that no sound wave cant change DNA structure.... seriously is DUH

Still no one can assure many things in this universe but a lot will assure that DNA structures cant mutate when an organism is exposed to soundwaves.

Yea, music has such power & the amount energy involved while dancing to trance beats is immensely amazing to do wonders. even i would like to share one of my latest experience once again as it would fit here.
This thing happened at moondust recently & i posted this on that thread as well, so here is a copy & paste

Came back to the floor & got Winter Demon up there, wow, good to see him spilling his insane energy & powerful music on everyone present there. MASCELINE..... hahahaha fcukin killed all with power packed set. I dislocated by thumb of the right foot while jumping to Demons set & i could see one of my nerve swollen, but wow whats the power of such atmosphere created due to the collective energies, i ate all the pain & concentrated all my energy to pull the nerve back to it's place & within 80 seconds i managed to get it back. while i was into this act, the pain was very much visible on my face & i was trembling with pain & after i opened my eyes i saw a female looking at me & when we saw each other, she smiled & i smiled & was again up on my feet bouncing on Demons set. Great set by Nimrod, powerhouse he is.

Many of you are drifting away from the topic. Some with long "spiritual" rants that got absolutely nothing to do with the topic.
Can you give me proof that your "spiritual" experiences on and off the the dance floor mutated, altered, changed your DNA? No!
Again it can be said very clear. Music does not mutate our DNA.
Some people here think that because music does "things" to them on a emotionally level then it's evidence that their DNA have been changed. Again this is nothing but whisful thinking.
I was asked to prove that sience is right and even though I believe sience a 1000 times more than someones "spiritual" opinion then I do not see why i should prove anything. I did not start this topic or come with "wishful" theories. If any one should prove anything then it's the topic starter who should give us hard evidence that music can mutate our DNA. Not just some "maybe" idea and "now what if" wishful thinking. Until it is proven, which I seriously doubt i can be, then I will keep the right to disagree strongly and see the whole idea as nothing but a big "fantasy" from the topic starter and his "friends" side rather than facts - with no intention to point fingers at anyone.

i know a lot of scientists explore those possibilities and do findings on that it only get not all the time approved by the majority of scientists....
edit: if you then look a bit around in scientific researches and some alternative explorings they do you will see it ain't that far fetched at all...
as this site is how they decoded proteins into music thius the other way around as what is discussed here... but it gives links and ideas to ponder....
