Are you?

Do you feel that by listening to trance your physical self has actually been changed? Or is it the music in combination with... other... catalysts? Is it possible to change your DNA while listening to music?

Hehe, just an idea! At certain times, in certain "States" Ive felt changed permanently, and music had been a part of it. SOOO, who else?

At parties which go on for a long time (several days) I can feel myself loose weight and gain energy.

This happens at the same time as lack of sleep makes me kind of oozie in the head.

So, I become more relaxed, begin to dance easier and more naturally.

First of all.. Where did you come up with such a crazy idea that music can change your DNA? No offense but that's silly

Yes listening to music can do things to you. Any music can! But music does not change who you are. I would say that the "substitutes" are those who change you (or it seem we like to think that).           http://www.peopleagainstpeace.net/

Oh yeah, Krell, I know what you´re talking about. It´s like natural acid produced in your body and to me it seems like this psychedelic state is much more lasting and pleasant than just taking substances

I believe that really psychedelic music (not this superficial forefront sound, but the deep twisted roaring holographic spheres) is a very intense and strong entheogenic.

It is definately a very natural feeling, and that just feels good and right.

Its like, when you have done a days work and you come home, put your feet up and relax.

Festivals are actually not places where I feel at home or at ease... Too many people... but, once it affects me like this, my mind and body has sort of changed and adapted. (You could interpret it and say mutated).

Then, Im more open, relaxed and in tune with myself.. and its something I can bring home with me, like a blanket I can rap myself up in, that there is more to this world than work, television and doing the dishes

I still have 2 arms, 2 legs etc though... and usually Im just about the same color as before as well, perhaps a bit darker hehe.

Is it silly? Or is it so sane, I just blew your mind?

This isnt really a serious thing, Krell's posts were exactly what I hoped people would post.

Maybe in conjunction with certain mental states, music could possibly maybe (who knows?) change DNA... How can you know?

Has anyone actually made any medical studies in regards to the DNA of trancers, before and after they go to many parties? I dont think so.

So theres no way to know for sure, unless you actually get your dna analyzed.           .

Mudpeople : i think music can change you only psychologicly, and that will only be with a bit more than only listening to it. Going to parties, mixing with new people, doing things related to the "tribe", thats what changes the trancers.

DNA can only be changed via Gene manipulation and Gene therapy. And that's sientific proved. So sorry but it's indeed silly when you assume that music can change your DNA. No offense intended though.

For the rest I highly doubt any music can change your personality. Some music can of course calm you or make you agressive. But as I said I doubt it can change you for the long run.

Like I said, who knows.

How can you tell that the cat in the box is still alive, without looking into the box?           .

Not physically, deff. mentally..

The way we act and feel about things are affected by music, imo.

But the idea of your DNA changing because of listening to music is kinda stupid..i'd say no to that..

But, how can you know that the IR camera is working properly? Youd need another machine, which of course you could not tell if THAT machine was working...

The truth is that there is no real way to know the cat is there without observing it, and how do you know it exists BEFORE observation? Just faith.

There is no way to prove ANYTHING, its all just a matter of faith. Faith in reality, substance, three dimensions, fur, skeletons, boxes...

NOTHING just "IS"          .
