just wanted to ask something to all ppl here who are against mp3 and p2p:
do you guys buy the musicsoft you use?
or is it ok for you to use warez, while telling ppl to buy all the music they listen too? |

And since you ask me personally i buy my software original and pay for them.
Thats why i have the balls to come in public and accusse all those that download my label's music illegally.

This is just a silly excuse from people that download music illegaly in order to 'explain' their actions.
How dare you steal other people's properties and come in public and accuse them for your actions?
I KILLED THAT GUY IN ORDER TO STEAL HIM BECAUSE THE GOVERNMENT DOESNT PROVIDE ME WITH ENOUGH MONEY OR A GOOD JOB.EITHER THE GOVERNMENT OFFERS MORE TO THE POOR OR I SHALL CONTINUE KILLING PEOPLE IN ORDER TO GET MONEY.

did i say i'm pro downloading or warez?
all i said it is hypocricy to say downloading is bad, while not paying for software.

Midislave speaking in general is not good in this occasion.
Can you point out someone in this topic that says downloading is bad but doesnt pay for his software?
Lets all start speaking in more detail rather speaking in general,guess this would help this conversation a little.

Generally it is right what midislave says: U can't steal a car and complain the same time about the lot car thiefs.
But as u already said DETOX, we need to go more in detail.
So if a label uses warezed Microsoft prog(s), for example, are they 'allowed' to complain about mp3 sharing of their releases?
Can we compare this at all? Or do we need to seperate the cases here?

come on, do you really think all psy releases are made using legal software? 90% of musicsoft( also microsoft) users use warez(i read this in sound on sound mag), almost nobody including ppl who make money with it uses bought official software, but i also see 90% of those pro artists complain about mp3.
this is just not right i think. |

i cannot tell for certain what artists are using warez ofcourse, but when i take a look in this forum i see many many questions about software that ppl certainly will not have bought, i know some gossip about many artists, but i won't tell it here because i'm not sure wether it is true or not, what i can say is that i heard many of the most famous psy artists never pay for their software, i once even saw a 'oxygen' label popping up when a 2500 euro liveact opened cubase, because i was standing right behind them. |

also this: you want me to browse true my music, and check all samples used in it? i think if i really go check wether all samples in my musiccollection are cleared, and if i would report all artists who didn't ,the psy scene would not exist anymore. now ppl get away with it because they don't sell enough music, but if all ppl would only buy(not download ) music , artists would certainly get probs because they didn't clear their samples.
the goa scene started off fully with illegal stuff( goagill and his mates started using pieces of ebm music tapes wich they cutted and pasted to trance songs), goa was the place where dats and cassettes were exchanged in order to get a big collection of rare music. this scene would never had even existed without piracy, so let's cut the crap, and all admit we have something illegal somewhere, it might be windows, it might be cubase, it might be a mp3, or it might be some samples we never cleared.
if everything we all have would be legal it would really mean this forum is kind of a 'rich ppl's forum', and it would not anymore fit the trance scene in general.
