there are few moments in our lives when we are able to control our minds and exclude other thoughts only focussing on the present without influences of the past and worries about the future. fortunately goa/psy trance music with it's complexity and layering somehow manages to do this for most of us. it forces out all other thoughts which is self fulfilling because you end up focussing even more on the variety of sounds......
meditation has the same principles at it's core....you block other thoughts, control ur mind and focus on something or nothing(depending on the kind of meditation) except that it is a conscious and sometimes extreme effort......
so in that sense being swallowed by the sounds and dancing out your demons is a spiritual experience coz your mind ,body and soul are acting as one......they are all in the music and go beyond it sometimes......even if you are just listening but with an open mind that takes in all the sounds it can be spiritual because it allows almost no distractions and detaches you from everthing around which is a higher state....... |
