If you ever, ever had flying rhino compilations or albums you'd know that they had some of the best releases ever in the trance world, and had high quality to the end. If you don't buy an album, DON'T FRIGGIN' COMPLAIN ABOUT IT. You want labels to release compilation after compilation of 9 amazing tracks? Let me tell you a secret - The Doors had uneven quality in their music. Zepplin too. Hendrix, Nirvana, Radiohead, Massive Attack... everyone. And yes, they're *commercial*. That doesn't solve anything.
If you don't want the trance world to be underground, good for you. It has NOTHING to do with this thread, except for you finding something to throw as dirt in the labels' eyes. Maybe you don't understand the meaning of the word 'commercial'. You don't want underground crap like Shiva Chandra, Son Kite, Bamboo Forest and Logic Bomb? Go listen to commercial 'psy' trance superstars like Yahel.
And about respect, appearantly, one who needs to learn about it here is you.

you are talking about indie labels being blinded by money!! which money?? do you think that the fact that there is "crap" music on comps is because the labels wouldn't spend more on advances to the artists??
having an indie label today is more about breaking even than making money so please reconsider before you speak of things you do not know.
On our comps we try to have a blend of established and new artists which automatically results in the fact that the advances paid vary between artists but that doesn't mean we allow anything from new artists .... on the contrary one subcounsciously treats a new artists with harder critic.
I know this subject touches everyone in one way or other but please do try and attach your comments to the reality cause some words spoken really stings in the eyes of people who work hard to give something to the progress of underground music.

why dont u ppl buy vinyl singles? there u have ur 2-3 tracks which u either like or not. i also like the original-rmx-vinyl thing that slowly start to take place also in the trance scene.
i would love to see more vinyl releases than compilations, which usally dont fit my expectations...

when I go here http://www.psyshop.com/ I see no album that I'm interested of (under new releases).. what the hell are those labels "Yellow Sunshine Explosion", "Bionics Records", "Natraj Temple", "Innersound Records", "Interzone Records", "Discobole Recordings" ??? I've never ever heard about any of those.. and yes, I've been on the scene for quite a few years..

I do think that Twisted has a lot more to offer.. look at their friggin' web page.. they've been working with it for like 2 freaking years.. and it's still full of bugs.. pretty much never updated & so on.. arrogance, oh that arrogance.. same goes for Shpongle & Hallucinogen webpages..

sure music downloading is very accessible and easy, but its still stealing and ilegal.

3. don't know/don't care.. it's gms.. the sample sounds horrible
4. same than above..

8. not bad.. could be a good track.. doubt it though..

a quality release? I don't think so!
will I buy this compilation.. or a new Tipworld compilation with new Shpongle track? guess..

maybe we keep the discussion to compilations that do not compile what other labels already released .. otherwise it will be far to big of a thread and really hard for labels to answer ....
and that guy's ferrari would still be there for him and it wasn't really something he was making money on or?
and maybe you should also take on a more mature approach to new things ..... just cause you don't know the name of the label doesn't mean it's bad ... one could think that you are 80 years old and go under the moniker conservative??

Yellow Sunshine Explosion - its a German label that specialiesed on compilations, great for sure. u hardly will find there alot previosly unreleased trax but sure a great choices from last half year, also vynil releases. Bim, Rien Halifax to name a few were compilators for them.
Bionics Rec - Israely underground label runed by Yaniv Gold (a member here, for a while..), they r also party promoters, not my cup of chai but well known label for sure.
Natraj Temple - one of the best German trance clubs, release serie of their compilation that can explain u a music choice of the place. u have to know this place.
Interzone Rec - Swiss label, progressive as hell. released compilation included trax of XV Killist, Paste etc. finaly now released album of their headliner act - Paste. wait for my copy now.
man, dunno how long u in all this but your knowledge realy on low level, thats not bad but its sure make your worlds about how labels should act to minimal priority.

well i'm not going to start to defend my views here.. if these "new labels" can bring up artists such as Simon Posford with his various collobrations or Infected Mushroom, or well.. say Entheogenic I'm sure they will be talked about.. and I'll be checking back to them.. if not.. then not.. it's up to them..

Just don't take the discussion to other dimensions... When you buying a car - there is a "Test Ride" option !!!

These are for you dude, if your speech is straight, then you are working for us and not for money. So a little bit critics from your customers or potential customers only could help you and other labels to improve and probably to increase sales.

i dont have this courage that peter and his fellows have, i deeply respect ppl like him, ppl that give me the best moments of my life (der dritte raum remix for chicago coins cinema at samothraki was sure one of this moments), come on, its much easier do uneversity (like me and u, no ??), but there is some ppl with talante and courage, BOOM to THEM.
