Get sylenth1. Fucking awesome bass.

I've tried out tons of software for bass and this is what I'm sticking with.

I hear hardware isn't ideal for bass as a lot of the time the oscillators aren't super stable or something, but I've never used hardware so that's hear-say evidence.            If you want to make an apple pie from scratch...you must first invent the universe

you don t like plugins?or maybe you use a hardware rig? if you want bassline that sound the same on each notes you might have to sample the nord 3 , i dont know if it can retriger the oscillator on each note , same for tetra.

I use the TI all the time for basses. I really like it. But the other synths are also well capable of making a good psytrance bass. Hell even a shitty plugin as the vb one can make a good bass

There is not one thing you need for a great psybass. You just need to practice with what you've got.           soundcloud.com/supergroover

the closest to a good bass without any processing is with analog oscillators by a large margin imo. you can have has good with digital but with a bit more work on the processing.
i nailed exaclty the same bassline sound from a minimoog saw ,esm and ace , except ace peak way higher for the same loudness cause i think they fucked something with their dc offset filter, i emailed urs about this but look like it wont be fixed as not much have complained about it and they are busy on other stuff these days

about ace i think i was hallucinating , it look highpassed with a steep filter but headroom is ok , would still probably sound better wihtout these phase shift
