Probably to tell something like this you need to pass Goa at least once and then to talk?!
But please dont start to jump on me and show that you re the Veterans of Goa,and sometning like ...O,I remember 94,it was really cool year...bla bla.

I think any scene relying on creativity and running counter to the dominant culture occasionally runs out of steam or into a period of stagnation. This can happen if people who are making the music feel it isn't appreciated and enjoyed anymore, and so stop making it or try to make their music less challenging, if promoters run out of funds to throw parties or they are in it for the wrong reasons, if people's energies are not into it or they bring a really negative approach to things, if labels start folding or are poorly run..any number of things can cause this. The question is: Will you accept this? If you don't, then what will you do to breath life into your scene and help the music you love? Psytrance is wonderful because there AREN'T any rules..at it's best the trance scene has been about experimenting and pushing boundaries and creativity and playfulness and emotional, spiritual and intellectual freedom. If you value that stuff, then find ways to re-inject it into your scene. If you have a particular vision of what you want psytrance to be, find others and make it happen or if you must, build it yourself. DIY isn't just for punks, it's for everyone.
As for the nostalgia, well, I think everybody remembers the first time they heard psytrance, or the first party they went to. It was magical, wasn't it? If you want to bring that back, you don't have to be stuck in the past to do that. Chances are, there were elements of that party, or that music, that made it so special. Take those elements, and re-incorporate them in interesting ways. If you remember things that worked well at a party before, do it again. If you want to actually play some old tunes for a new crowd, then go ahead and do it. Just do it honestly and with passion, and you'll turn on the right people. |

No Goa isn't dead just yet... but that was definitely not Goa. |

im sorry for you to never know the best side of psytrance .. suomi sound. absoulutly random sounds of fun , with humor and good spirit. the sound quality is not "astrix" if thats quality at all.. but more unique not generic .
if you still intrsted paying a visit and may be get a cd or 2 as you say , defintly dont go on hommega style , since as it sound this what boring you .. try Exogenic rec.
beside , try my upcoming album , planty of goa vibes and defintly some sily random sounds .
i understand you , but atleast as producer i can make my own music for change.
