oh sorry kaz how could i get this one wrong i surely meant the Zodiac Youth - Fast Forward the Future ( Voodoo People rmx) 
anyway im 22 years old and i havnt been to Woodstock or are in any direction in this Hippi stuff ... i also listend to psytrance or "goa" in the time of 1996 and i was impressed by this sound but i also think its fascinating what the future brings to us .. so im looking forward and not in a sad mood backwards ... like often mentioned "keep it in your heart "

for a truth i connected to goa/psy trance so much coze i felt its more diversity and progressive thing around.
now i dedcide that its no more lke this (in most parts) so i move on (not mean crossover straight to tiesto). just always look for something refreshing,unexpirienced and new. also tasty of course

A question for all those using the terms 'evolution' and 'evolving'
Evolution means progression of species on a certain level imo that means that species get better through time from different aspects.
Trance today evolved from trance 7 years ago in 1 main way only afaik and this is the sound quality.
In 1 way it didn't evolve and went miles backward and that is the reason that kaz and now munchie are bitching around -
the ARTISTRY of making this music. Where is the ART behind the chrystal clear productions?
pls that question for only psychedelically EVOLVED ones

The Bible as a Warning:
Every new thing will institudtionalize giving it enough time. This will cause it 2 lose some of it's charm and purity, and so the case with the Goa vibe. Take a look at the Bible for instance, in the begining, a holy movement: the appearing of god, miracles and pure spiritual power. Over the years the great scholars wanted 2 bring it 2 the people, to make it an everyday thing and at this point the religion loses it's charm. No more mystery and enlightenments but long prayes and returning ceremonys that no-one give a damn about.
Look what it stand 4 today in Israel, a bunch of black wearing, money stealing group, that try 2 force religion on the rest of the people and causes everyone 2 hate it.
It will b the same with trance, unless we know how 2 prevent the music from turning 2 commercial. Yes it will never b as pure as in the old days, but u each need 2 find your right combo between old days and the today.

Olli> I agree with you on severel points, but i wouldn't go as far as to compare trance to relligion. Trance is a form of music, designed to bring pleasure & happiness (and spiritualness too).
Relligion on the other hand, was created for the sole purpose of controlling the commoners ("opium for the masses" as Karl Marks refered to it). So i think the comparison between the two is rather frail.
anyway, i think we're getting a little off-topic here

about evolving of trance it self - behind the crystal clear production u can find alot of good music (and bad also), atmos, frogacult/cubica, tarsis, and many others got to the production level of british sound engineers and also great musicians.
yeas its right that some producers just too deep into production and not into music (sbk best example) but there is jkings of sound that make also very cool music (cass&slide).

Evolution doesn't necessairily mean, - getting better !
But instead of going backward think forward. Ok, maybe you don't like minimal nor progressive, - so what's next ?

sorry ppl but when u say 'I evolve' it means I progress, I make myself better... I did not say that humans better than apes, but they are for sure have better starting point than apes and that what is important.
The second important thing is what u do with the better starting point that u have...
And Zombie, I like many tracks of the arts u have mentioned and still even they, although being very well produced and very well written, often lack that special odor that once was in this music... The mistakes, the midi glitches, the slightly detuned analog equipment.. Nudge Nudge, Wink Wink, Zombie u know what I am talking about, aren't u - the question wasn't for u by the way

It's more lively and natural?
Go hear a minimal progressive track with those mistakes. It will just sound awful.
And if you want to make glitches, go ahead. Every synth today has a detune in it.

Mike I am sure you are not aware of the fact that u cannot detune a Junox for example to sound like an old analog moog for instance.. WHY?
Because, the circuitry inside 20 year old moog machine got a little rusty and a little dirty and there are little blips and sound changes cuz of it and NEVER EVER any softsynth will be close to it...
To tell you a real story.. I have sold 90% of my 'real' studio to work with the softsynth technology and I do not regret it... My good friend Tzachi from Beer Sheva owns an origianal Moog.. very old one.. no midi - with Kenton combina... U don't have any idea how much I would pay for that machine ( he wouldn't sell for nothing u can be sure ).. It is ALIVE. There is nothing to come even close to the sounds it makes ( especially with a good distortion )
A little detuning to the Junox will do the trick... comon dude be real
