My dear Psychedelic Trance.
For the past 6-7 years, you have ment everything to me. My entire way of life was dictated by your chaotic touch - we were one, me and you... How i will miss you, my dear psychedelic love. Your twisted sound, your hypnotizing beat. How i will miss your infatuating presence, and your bizarre progression.
But most of all, i will miss your "lack of Logic". Once, you were insane like a dancing galaxy, but today, you are nothing but a logical creature. Don't you see? you don't need common sense! all you need is irattional thought, and you will thrive. Believe me, you will thrive!
And so, you "psychedelic love of my life" - you've sold out. You've betrayed me. You've turned from hot random insanity, to cold & calculated formulas. Where magical melodies once flew, now lay the disheartened sounds of tommorow. I'm afraid that those sounds are not for me...
And so, My long-lost psychedelic sweetheart,
i say goodbye and bid you farewell. I need my time alone, some space to breathe. I cannot bare to see you any more. I'll still pay you a visit now and then. I'll buy a cd or two, and i'll dance at your feet every couple of weeks, but for the record, let it be known - we are not together any more.

Hey, man, stay calm, take a valium or two and relax, that's not the end of the world...
You still have lots of good stuff to listen to. Good old stuff and good new stuff as well, you'll only need to searsh for it a little more between the garbage in the stores... And choose the right parties to go...

I guess, you're suffering more from too much choice... When there is so much to choose in the shop, it's harded to find something valueble. But it is still there, just look better and you'll find it!

Well, like Anders said - I'm sick 'n' tired of all this "intelligent" music. Allthough my problem is much deeper than that. I'm not claiming that today's music is bad. I Personally buy 2-3 records a month, and i have no problem finding good innovative music. My problem is, that psytrance is developing all the symptoms of commercial electronic music. Moreover, i predict that within 2-3 years most psytrance releases will sound 90% like prog house or techno. Why do I need this?
I loved psy when it was underground. Today I hear Astrix & Alien poject at weddings... I loved psy when it was unique. Today all music sounds so similar (either full-on Israeli or European prog).
The scene has gone bad...
Fortunately there are a few artists who keep my hope alive. Unique & original artists (and i'm not talking about those finnish "look what i can do with a keyboard & a laptop" freaks")
As i said, i'm not giving up on trance. I'm just taking a brake, until the good people in our once beutiful scene will wake up. Then, hopefully, we can brake away from this blatent commercialism and start something new, something more psychedelic and chaotic, something that will bring psytrance back to it's underground roots.
Until then...
