so lets use Powwow East and West coast events as way mark on how the progress of the INTER - National USA Psy posses are doing. We have successfully pulled off some impressive cross country collaborations. Lets have this new year continue this momentum that the TOUCH SAMADHI and PHOENIX FAMILY collectives have begun! I urge all of you promoters and collectives to keep up the good work and stretch to include one guest from the american continents for every event. Even if it means coughing up the airplane ticket up front... I ll bet there is many talented djs willing to fly them selves in for an event. lets start using this thread to organize this effort of cross polly nation.

My name is Pete and I am a promoter in Vancouver Canada. www.goatrancemission.com
I have been promoting a three day festival here in Vancouver and last year I had Space Tribe and Kode-4 headlining the show.
I love the artists in America and am already working on three of them, to bring them for my festival in 2006. You will find out once it is confirmed.
NOW, i compeletly agree with u that there should be a feeling of brotherhood between the dj's in north america and exchange programme sounds good. After all we all are soldiers for Peace and Love. So i fully support the exchange programme and if I can help in anyway let me know.

Hi all. To most of you on here i dont think i need an introduction.

Anyways i both DJ and promote and am a avid surported of the N. American scenes being linked. Both in DJ exchanges (which leads to new friendships and more networking) but also flight shares, deco artist sharing
and who knows maybe if some giant grand perfect location that is central to all can be found, maybe some day a giant collabortive festival.
(kinda echoing Dimitri's words on another thread here)

As a DJ i feel i am one of the most acomplished of the SF based ones (not to be confused with our many wonderful producers). Im signed to Mindfunk records formerly of A-dam, now Venezuela
http://forum.isratrance.com/viewtopic.php/topic/79244/forum/61
also have have multiple mixes online for download at
http://www.straylightproductions.net

anyways enough about me
lets get everyone on here to chime in with stuff about themselves, whether they be dj / producer/ deco/ organizer / food vendor / yoga instructor
whatever lets keep this thread active and towards the top so it can be made a usefull tool and reference point

or perhaps through this thread we can gather enough info to update the above info thread and make it a more effective tool

I think 'cross-coastal' is a misleading title.. there is plenty of kick-ass psytrance that's not located on either coast. So please don't think that the rest of us are 'backwards' hehe.. you'd be in for a huge surprise.

anyway, on with the program..

It would be hard for me to be affiliated with a label mostly because I can't keep to the same style of music - I'll play everything psychedelic, from futuristic night psy (like zik and metalaxis) to morning (hujaboy, artax) to trippy techno and dark prog (sensient) and funky (onnomon, loopus), etc. And also idm/dub/chillout. Whatever the situation calls for, really. Just no cheesy dancefloor crap! Not the one to take the easy way out, sorry.

in the last 3-4 years I've played at every type of desert, forest, mountains, warehouses, clubs, basements, whatever.. in quite a few different states. but always looking for new adventures.

I live in Colorado, btw.

Cheers

ps - i'm very slow at making DJ mixes, been working on a new one for like 3 months.. hehe. but I'm playing live on http://www.kgnu.org next wednesday 12am MST.

We are Shakti Collective, a group of promoters and DJs dedicated to spread the sounds of quality psychedelic and progressive trance music in the Toronto area. Over our year of existance, we have brought artists like Antix, Metronome, Vibrasphere and Freq. We are also dedicated to promote an unsigned, local talent, and so we give opportunities to local psy artists and djs to play alongside with big headliners and names without any politics attached.

We are really interested in taking part in this program and have alot to offer.

For information about our crew, visit http://www.shakticollective.com

I, myself also a DJ (as you have noticed by my name) and play a variety of sound that ranges from night tech-trance to morning progressive. My partner, Plan B, plays a good sound of night psychedelic trance (including artists like Highko, Yeb-Yam, Phatmatix, etc...).

We believe that if we help each other, we can create something magnificent and special with each-other's help.

I have been looking for somewhere to play for the last year or so. The biggest problem is that I live in Boston, and I play full-on. These Bostoians are really into their progressive ;(

I'm looking at helping a friend throw a big party at an outdoor venue next summer, so it's good to know that there are lots of people interested in DJ sharing...

My mixes are available at djnutz.blacklight.net
