It's such a pleasure to get out and experience what the different scenes have to offer.
Always a unique pleasure.... and the opportunity to connect with others that you have yet to meet face to face.
Just drop a PM to me here on isra for contact info, if anyone feels the need , or shoot at email off to booking@acidance.com

Much love!

howdy y'all,

Pat here, aka karmakanik, aka mescalinium. some of you know me already but to those of you who don't...

i have been djing and organizing psytrance events for over 5 years now. i dj full on and darkpsy under the name "mescalinium" and progressive psy and chill out under the name "karmakanik". you can see my tribe profile at people.tribe.net/karmakanik and my dj profile at www.gaian-mind.com/artists.php

i hail from philadelphia originally, and currently live in NYC. i play regularly in new york and philly, and have djed recently in boston, montreal, quebec city, and asheville.

i'm the main organizer for PSI - the Philadelphia Shamanista Initiative. we produce underground open air events in the infamous Pine Barrens forest of NJ during the outdoor season (may - september). we have already hosted many of the pre-eminant psytrance artists and djs in the region such as Shapestatic, Kri, BSM, DiMiTry, Dave Henshaw, Psy Greg aka Dj Horizon, Boipeba, Lauryn, Onnomon, Allen, Earthian, Vitalik, and many others.

We are always looking for fresh talent, and would love to work out some sort of exchange for the upcoming summer season. Feel free to get in touch with me through either tribe.net or by email at sunshinegoa3@yahoo.com

i also work with philly based collective Gaian Mind (www.gaian-mind.com). we put on a monthly event in philly and of course the GM festival which has come to be one of the most anticipated and renowned annual events in North America.

along with my friend and production partner Dave (Eg_bot) and the rest of the Psy Planet crew, we offer full services for all your psy trance party needs: sound, deco, lighting, djs, etc. we are available for weddings and bar mitvahs... so please inquire

I started a North American Trance Promoter List (database) about 8 months ago. For exactly the purpose of sharing artists/flights, etc. The goal is for the promoters to know and talk to each other. An even more cohesive community.

Here is the original e-mail I sent:

~Calling all N.A. psy-trance promoters!!

Hello Everyone!

This is Sharon, part of Gaian Mind here in Philly.

I would like to put together a comprehensive list of North American promoters (yes, this includes Mexico & Canada) so we are better able to communicate - especially regarding sharing flights/bringing in talent from outside of North America.

Please e-mail me with your organization name, city/state/country, main contact (and secondary contact if there is one), e-mail address, mailing address and phone number.

I think its about time we ALL got together to try and make bringing in bigger acts more reasonable.

In addition, it could be a great resource for locally-grown North American acts to start movin' around.

Hope to hear from you!

Namaste.
Sharon

*please forward this message to any & all N.A. promoters!

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

so, if you are a promoter and aren't already on the list...
please send me an e-mail: gaianmind@comcast.net

Are there? I'd be curious where they are... please do tell.

There are a number of forums and mail lists/groups, but this isn't that sort of thing, and not meant to be used in that way.

Hey all, chiming in for Mayavada in DC. You already heard from Brian H, but I thought I'd through my hat in the ring as well.

Looking forward to keeping the Mayavada events going. We'd love to hear from you.

I'd be curious if your list is working better than any of these other forums, yahoo groups, mailing lists, tribe.net, myspace, etc etc etc. If it is, I'd be interested in subscribing.

cheers

It isn't exactly a subscription list, more of a "members" list. The list is of N.A. Trance Promoters, and is distributed among those promoters. The goal of the list being communication and discussion amongst the promoters. The list is not intended for mass mailings and the like. Its there to help aid in more personal communication between promoters.

I really think the best n.a. promoters forum is the tranceformers yahoo group.

I think the most comprehensive listings of events (worldwide) can be found right here on isratrance.

I think the best community-building place is tribe.net. It has certainly made a difference for G.M.

I too am of the "Have Trance, will travel" group.

I'm happy to pay for flights if I can find resonable ones and just like meeting people and the joy of playing for a dancefloor.

My mixes can be found here: http://djnutz.blacklight.net
I reccomend Aural Dosage and Fractal Sunrise

I'm currently booking for a party in SF in March, get in touch with me for details.

Also, I'm helping plan an outdoor festival for the summer on the East Coast, details still being firmed up.
