So here's my first tirade. Damn, I'm cringing writing this and I hate what I have to say, but I have to say it because it's in my blood. San Francisco. My place of birth (Mt Zion hospital on Geary (isn't that a coincident, eh). I make no excuses, I'm proud to be from San Francisco, the city of psychedelic. The mecca of psychedelic. So why am I so pissed off about it? Cos it's filled with a bunch of bitches. Everybody is such a bunch of PC dickless bitches that you make psytrance suck. Are you really taking psychedelic drugs? I don't fucking believe it. You guys are so NOT 'high' and some of us know it. You're busy sucking dick. jerking off on the decks. And I remember when it all started. Or when I first witnessed it, actually. I'd tell you but it'll expose some embarrasing ugliness you may not want the US or the world to hear so I'll leave it for later.
I've very rarely been impressed with an SF DJ. Spook one time did it for me cos he was really into the psychedelic shit. But then a bunch of faeries came a long and participated in a rift, tearing apart the scene. You know who you are. Suddenly the music wasn't psychedelic or trance anymore. I went up on a weekday and caught a night at the Il Pirata and some guy was just ending and it sounded ok, then this other guy came on and started fucking with the music so much it seemed intentional. Like he didn't want that kind of dancing or something. You ever get that? He was so lucky I didn't walk up to the him and call him on his shit right there (what, it wasn't a psytrance party anyway at that point). That guy Dutch did that too one time. He ended the Dark Soho party at that heavy metal joint. He really wanted to end the party. And I wanted to sock him. All amped up after dark soho and he plays that shit. What a punk.
And one time I went to a 'renegade' (gay word) on the beach with some local 'dark' acts or djs I don't fuckin know anymore and you know what? It was the lightest shit I've ever heard. (not to say I didn't like it, cos I loved it. It was just not 'dark' as advertised. The dance floor made me feel like I was at a gay social cocktail hour but the guys were actually hitting on girls, just like at the DNA lounge, but hipper people. suck that.

So, that's all for now. I'll give you more scene reviews when I have the chance. Peace and love all you hippies, and watch out for your girlfriends when you come to LA.
