I miss Caligula, but his resignment just sums up how strong the Trance ideals are, he should be right here fighting back all of you cynical old, ugly, baldhead extrancers...we need people like him, but he just quit 
Anyway...I didn't quite get, yet, where UK trance is going...did anybody said East London???

okay the "i give up" was more a figure of speech. i'm too damn stubborn to give up.. 
@ buju.. i only assumed hard house as we're talking about mixing it into 145bpm psytrance.. so cheesy funky house would be kinda difficult..
@ Justin.. dude.. seriously.. i have feelings.. 
and to anyone - have i come across as a wanker so far? some responses seem to suggest i have..?
i'm only bemoaning the perpetually cynical.. the obvious targets who admit hatred for the "state of trance". to be quite honest i was also debating for the sake of debate..
as you do on a forum

Fish&Chips.
And I do have a favourite KFC, is the one in the corner of Golders Green road and Finchley Road...and the one in Finchley central is nice too, my less favourite are the ones in Camden and Brixton.
More places where the trance scene in UK is going besides KFC's and F&C's???

many of the main room tunes i have been hearing recently arent in any way shape or form what i would call psychedelic trance - snare rolls out of drops? c'mon guys how long since hardfloor first did that? cheesy and immature euro lead ilnes? 150bpm or faster?

just for the record... not all psytrance parties in California have these ceremonies.
great discussion, If I could add a comment, when we started doing our parties with other genres like glitch hop and breaks, tech house and stuff like that, it was great! It made for a really nice crowd. Ask any artist who has played in LA they'll tell you how nice our crowd is blah blah blah....i could go on. Not to mention more women started making themselves present. I think the diversity in music is what made it more acceptable for the clique groups to mix with ours. The intent was on getting more people to the events and splitting the efforts. It was one of the smartest things we did as a group of guys throwing parties.

Hi David, re the ceremonies - Heh... Yeah I guessed as much. I don't think its a bad thing or anything, but when I was asked if we did it it kind of took me aback! From what you say about your parties - diversity, women, scene chill etc - just what I would've expected.
Talking about my back-to-back notions I've found some killer prog/minimal sets over on the DJ Sets thread, like this one:
