it's quite funny
I just read another post in this fine forum where a 1 day festival is being promoted in Israel close to the Dead Sea. No need to say that it's almost total Full On except for some exceptions like Atmos who indeed play very variated music. What was the first reaction? That he (Atmos) do not play good music. So who are the openminded people? The ones that go to a Full On party to listen to 1-2 hours progressive in the beginning and then stay for the Full On madness or the many Full On loving people that show up at 4-5 am and never would bother to go to a progressive party or listen to progressive music (or for that matter any other music than Full On)?
Just remember this. Many progressive listeners have started out listening to goa, psy and full on. How many Full On people can say the same? I doubt many of the Full On people in Israel and many other Faull On countries even know what Goa/psy music was.
My point of view of course.
And it's no atempt to start a Progressive vs. Full On war... Just an observation!
And before you start to dish me and tell me that I am untollerant I like to point out that I listen to Ambient, rock and pop, classical music, lounge, progressive, techno, world music, disco, funk and goa/psy/full on as long as it's deep and don't sound like everyone else. |

I don't have figures about that, so it's only speculation, yet I get this feeling too. Some full-on fans couldn't care less about psychedelia, which was the gist of the scene some years ago though.
Maybe this is the real split in the scene : rather than prog vs. full-on, psy vs. not-so-much-psy trance.

funny example - we were year and half ago at some party and fter it went to friend hose to have a litlle party there. so borris bring his case, we bring some hash, ok.. so somewhen borris play us a tune and this person says "what this HOUSE ??", i dont need to say that it was a trancewave trck from 95. pure goa melodie euphoria.
what is "psychedelic sound" ??? before goa trance there was acid techno, YOU next time when u meet blue elf ask her play u a acid techno, she have some. so its sounds like playstation game today, but back then it was a fucking unbelieviable sound, so who right ?? today or then ppl ??
