i prefer parties where it has a bit of all. though like patrick has mentioned, here in swizz the splitting has already become reality. at least at bigger parties. okay...wasn t muchos at parties this and last year...so it isn t very objective...
smt it s interesting for me: some ppl mentioned they belive that "prog"-scene has more aspects of the good old time ? ...hmm...isn t it in switzerland otherwise around ?!?

Provocative yes but arogant - no i dont think so. The people that know me know that I am one of the most openminded people when it come to listening to all kinds of music and accepting all kinds of people.

thats why we have only-fullon parties...
cause all of the fullon lovers don't want anything to do with progressive trance.
most of them even don't know any progressive trance, they just know they hate it..
i know that its not like that in all of the fullon scene
but this is why the trance-scene is splitting.
im realy sorry but how i see things right now is that i wont hear music i like in almost every party.
and this what makes me think it should be splited..
i didnt think that way 2 years ago even that i always liked more the progressive side of the scene.
so i dont care if the parties will be only-progressive or progressive&fullon parties,
but it must have progressive in it and lots of it..
and all im talking about is the scene in israel.
i don't know how is it in other countries.

hey ron lyner, well one can always start making proggy parties, they seem to be easier to make - small club, a small group of people, dont even need a powerful system as the sound is almost always cleaner simpler... and there you go...indoor, elitist and ofcourse the prevalent drug of the choice would be very different from the real outdoor full on eperience-cocaine vs. acid.
so consequently we have the different attitudes. neo hippie chankra thingy vs. arrogant elitist clubbers....LOL
i dont really want to belong to neither of these...just love my music and dance till there is no more the dancer only the music...
i still like to hear my proggy stuff at night, full on early morning, proggy late morning...i think separating the scene wouldnt do it anygood. would make it homogenous, and boring.
i miss parties where i can hear both sounds, so maybe there is already some truth in what elysium suggests.

im 100% with kaz over here... this is music... this is trance... it spouse to be colorfull...

Zombie before you spank me with Sven Vath and Chicago.. The vynils that firstly were spinned are those of Mississippi Delta Blues masters of the early 1920's, these vynil were really rare and DJ's published the actual names of the vynils they gonna play in their set ( it was during the 50's - 60's if I am not mistaken ) and one last thing and that is connected very well to the snobbish attitude.
MAYBE, when I mentioned Astral I did it in purpose? MAYBE, Astral ( and such ) opened the trance world for me ( and many others that got hooked on this ) back in 1992? So why do I need to care about what happened in Detroit or Chicago 10 years before?
As usual the elitistic approach, I know it all and I gonna teach u something u dont know  ... Not long ago I was really into proggy scene, but when I found out it mostly made of ppl that KNOW what is good for me, I knew that it wasn't what I was lookin for

Yuli I think that no matter what music you're into theer's always people that think they KNOW what is good for you. Believe me I've seen that attitude in many different occasions. It's not something specific related to the proggy scene. |

But I don't agree that psy part is neo hippy bullshit and prog still is down to the routs!
BOTH Parts forgot, what it's all about.
Find out yourself whats missing in the two parts!
