I know guys who are making songs at 160.. If i tell them that i feel that if u start playing the faster-faster game that it never ends, that he will end up at 200bpm, he shrugs and says that that's just fine by him... He actually likes hardcore, so i understand him...

It's not about the BPM's. Saying that todays Psy sucks because of the high BPM is like criticizing a painter for using too much color.
Dark psy sucks because there are too much labels that releases almost everything that reaches their hands. Etnica/Pleiadians were making mind blowing 150+ tracks back in the days, obviously those were much more creative tunes than the stuff that are being released today.

Not much of a comment, but I personally prefer slightly slower bpms, might be getting older though... but still the fact remains the same, good tune is a good tune, beauty is in the ear of the beholder and so on...

136 , 139 , 140 , 142 , 145 , 146 , 148 , 150 ,
152 , 155 , 160

Why not .. ? all looks fine ! The matter is not
the tempo .. Its how you built up your track
and if its quality , Interesting & curiouse .. I
realy cant understand all those topics of this
speed or that bpm .. I think its realy foolish
and unseriously . If its good its good .. ! No
matter the way .. Only the consequence and
result thats all .. Think about it . Happy night

people make fast music because they have no skills to make real music...
when u work at 150 bpm, there is not much room left for intelligent percussion pattern , no rooms for sounds, it makes the job really easier(not to make a good tune but at least to make one)the more bpm, the less creative...simple as that
There is not even any room left for a fat kick or a fat bassline...it's all tiny and fast and ridiculous...there is not time for the sub frequencies to come through...
i'd rather recommend some real hardcore such as manu le malin (some real studio work for a change...) if u like fast bpm and dark atmosphere (real one) instead of all that crappy joke made out of trance

That's a bunch of horse crap. Yeah, It would make MY job much easier as someone who knows 10% of making psy trance; feel really happy about himself with some lame patterns that I might create BUT most artists that are releasing at that range are definitely making music with a lot of creativity and with sounds which you can easily hear and don't just blend in with the track if you know what I mean. As like somebody said.. i suppose it has a lot to do with skill. Listen to tracks by Audiopathik, lots of creativity there.

i sometimes make hiphop instrumentals at 128 bpm...
other times at 136, and 145.

but, damn, it's hard to find mc's to rap 'em out. All of them are trying to convince me i'm doing breakbeat. LOL. how stupid. breakbeat.. Pah!

yep, it takes no skills to make something like derango - the poisonous square, it's WAYYY harder to make a 135 BPM house track with a kick, bass and annoying acid lead repeating for 5 minutes.
