Lets share our most embaresing moments, trainwrecks etc...

I play lot of my sets b2b with my wife and once we were in antaris and we always have first transition planed like first two tracks to get it going.
plan was that my wife puts on first track and i continue from that.
we go to stage and previous dj put his last track and my wife said i cant play on this player cause its too high on stage (women )
OK no worries i put this track that fits to your track u planed to play... in perfect world i would put right track but in reality i put track 5 instead of track 4 wich was complitely different... so panic is rising and we stumble down few tracks and i see that in my player only right channel is going out WTF. oh shit, organiser comes up and tryes to change cd player but new player didnt work at all... then one guy comes up and fixes the broken player but in meantime we just had to play tracks from one player and one cd but after that everything worked out and rest of the set was quite good and since our slot moved like two hours we got to play sunrise set wich was awesome, to see sun coming up behind the crowd was something ( i played glooex : black and white on sunrise )

i have lot of more of these... but lets hear yours

Haven't really had a problem except sometimes a panic when can't get the beat to match and there is only 30 second before the kick from the track playing won't match with the one coming... then I usually just go "f#ck it" and do an outro to intro fade instead.

Oh, also playing after going to the toilet whilst rather drunk, and only realising 4 tracks into the set that my cock has been hanging out for 400 munted fools to see

I hate you, you hate me, we are all so hap hap happy!

been there, done that

I think i have made all failures possible

like stoppin wrong track, fading wrong track out and classic, letting outro go to end and forgetting to take faderdown when auto cue is not on           http://www.myspace.com/polly_potb

btw, i ended a set with a massive reverb combined with 1/2 beat delay once, and the guy playing after me was to wasted to notice and to turn it off so he played half hour with the reverb and the delay on the master before the organizer told him to fuck off not my worst moment, but probably his

1/2 beat delay is a cool effect to turn on and off during a track, you can turn a regular 4/4 beat into fucked up breakbeats

anyway just this saturday I was playing on a gigantic soundsystem, and I mixed from a track on vinyl to one that was on CD. The vinyl track ended, so I took the needle off and then went to put the next track into the CD player.

I'm not used to playing with vinyl AND CD, usually at home I do one or the other, so as I was going to put the CD in I thought to myself "okay I am putting CD in so there must be a CD that I have to take out". So I hit pause on the CDJ

The CDJ that was playing into the main system >:(

And then I panicked and hit cue instead of just hitting play again, argh

so I frantically seeked through the track to approximately where it had been, grinned sheepishly and blushed bright red. No one seemed to mind.

a guy that pulled the plug not once but twice in a timespan of like 15 minutes.
and that wasn't enough...he pushed over some big 3d-deco piece toward me, a big fluo totem pole

ah man, i wanted kick his ass so much

Nice one!

I have had a close call like that too.

The DJ box had a big hole on the floor....behind where the DJ normally stands....i took 3 steps back instead of 2....and almost busted my leg.

LUCKY!

I've done this on purpose with suomi tracks when they are so juicy and good but only 3 minutes long!

This thread is great! I love hearing that others have the same experiences! I think every one of them I've done

I once played from my laptop on a beach party, and suddenly my computer went out. Turned out I forgot to plug it in to the outlet, the battery went blank           Monitoring devices, know where you go
