the question is, what can we do about it?
and if there is something to do about it?

i think it's a process that will happen by its own. we already have some improvments (like the galatz brodcast or that other article). i know some people personally that hated trance, cause of it's "bad attitude", and now they don't think it's that bad. (they even want to come to parties, not for the drugs of course).

first i would like to say that i like it that way, i like it underground. i dont want the scene to become main stream. i like the idea that most people dont connect to the music. and i like the idea of us being unique when we hear "progressive" in our car... there is still a connection to drugs in this scene - thats a fact we cant do nothing with. and if i was a journalist i would also write about the cops in last moksha rather than the music acts that where suppose to play there.. the article in haaretz kinda of told the whole wrold about allot of good locations that can probably ruin them now. there are here and there some good prespective look about trance like that show of private talks in channel 2 17:30. and does anybody here thinks that jungle, dub or drum n base or even techno gets here more exposed? did you see any big articles about dub creators? the media takes its time with exposing different music than britney and thats fine. in our case there is also the drugs issue.. we all talk about what a great party is- well usually it starts with- what a great undergorund party. if we would be written in the press every day as a great thing, believe me, no underground for us. as for the creators. well we can also make it aboard make good money and come here for other things we like rather than seing our face in the press.

Well . . . you can listen to "Hafirot" on 106 fm usually Wednesdays at 13:00 pm (not too late eh? ).

I guss it is not so late.

I now understand that trance will never get bigger than it is right now, I mean if in Israel (which is a trance empire) trance still remains undrground after more than a decade it will never grow in the rest of the world. The only way trance will be accepted in Israel is if people will see it on MTV (which we all don't want to happen), than Israelis(and the media) will do what they do best, copy from the US.

I say fuck it, as long as artists still produce and there are enough people for a party I will enjoy trance as long as it lasts.

I don't try to be negative, but realistic. You have to change the way people think about music before you can make it grow. Now I am not saying I want trance to be on MTV and all those PoP chanels, but accepted.

15 years ago people though hip hop is gansters music, black music, whatever. Now every country got rapers and hip hop is everywhere. People changed their way of thinking and opened up. Trance needs the same thing before people will say: "I dont like trance, it is not my taste", except of: "I don't like trance, its for crack heads, and arsim".

I hope you are right, but it can only be proven by more people buying cds and more people at parties. I bet that will make those fucks at the media think twice before they open their mouth.
