Good sound (what ever it individual means) is good sound(cloud)... Sound people like is sound which people like...

And to have the inner ambitions, knowledge or strenght in the meaning of energy to serve the environment
or small / big markets with music, is a state of mind which is not to condemnable...

Thoose who hit the zeitgeist (with their music) correspondence between the zeitgeist and the collective...

With the social media thing between its partially psychlogic as well as the advertising and the market is a partially a psychologic thing,
both on the large and small scale...

At the end of the day we life in a world which is more and more market-based and logically that affects a lot, also the people, more or less...
And it would be foolish not to consider that in the (human) development...

And of course there are also possibilties to feed something "good" into the market, for example pure psytrance (Goa),
with mainstream suitable sound characteristics ? ...
Cosmic for the mainstream ? - A dream ? A possibilty ? Spinning ? Too much work ? Help !!!

You know whats on...

To revel :

don't know if that happens a lot on this scene or not. not the most informed person, for sure.

I think that most people in this scene pay their dues. and if they achieve any kind of success, they really deserve it.

Sure they deserve it, everyone is the architect of his own fortune. What I doubt however is that every talented artist got luck to have success and vice versa that every successful one is among the most talented.

Who deserves what is a very philosophical debate and has little to do with markets and soundcloud. But history of mankind does not lack big artists, scientists and visionaries who never saw approval of their work in their lifetime. Before the market became that important, this was even the normal case.

^ Yeah, moki, for shure... Really, know what you mean...

There are people outside, they give so much important knowledge and true information to renew the world with real ideals,
some added the know of centuries together and transferred it into feasibilities and necessities of todays time,
but they have only a few clicks in proportion to the "hip"...

Now "social medias" with their very "young history" make the people browse for mayor...

SoundCloud - August 2007
YouTube 14. Februar 2005,
Facebook Inc. Februar 2004

And whats behind the "curtain" is a thing in the thing...
One might think it becomes to a big collector system of the collective creativity, even if the founders meant it well...
They save so much good creative work; Audio, Video, Pics, Words & Thoughts, Philosophie "etc." on their "Server"... Wow, WOW... So much...
Thats maybe a really new "collector system" with a "social media" label...

However... How people now work with... It is up to them... An up tu us...

But...
Its still a nice or funny dream...
That soundcloud could help that Angela, Wladimir and Barack came dancing on a Psy-Goa Event and get a mind full of peace...

Something has really went wrong with the industry if the artists pay for a click instead of getting paid for a click...

I don't know if you read wired but recently there was a feature called "How data saved music" in the UK Edition that I found very insightful.

This is an infographic about revenue streams taken from Wired Magazine, a small part of the feature is available here: http://www.wired.co.uk/magazine/archive/2015/05/features/kobalt-how-data-saved-music

It is about "most important music company you have never heard of" - this is how Wired calls Kobalt music:
https://www.kobaltmusic.com/

Their USP seems to be the transparency in digital distribution in terms of exact big data statistics about streamings in social media, in spotify and inother networks, as well as royalty tracking. But besides transparency and smart reporting, Kobalt seems to be much faster in collecting the money from third parties, and as you probably know artists or small labels often have to wait more than a year to get their percentage of streaming revenues.

What I really find pity is that although youtube is one of the most frequented places to hear music, there is so little percentage of revenue for the artists. Isn't it a better idea to act behind a company like Kobalt that makes small fishes stronger together?

p.s. Check the infographics here if you want:
