Well, you can say a lot about GMS, but you can't say these guys don't know what they are doing. sure, their music more often than not is cheesy, commercialized and corny, but some track contain that unique magic in the air. I really liked their work on Requiem's remix, Juice. what I don't like, and i hope i am not starting a flame stampede here, is the fact that the lion's share of GMS' music is so Molded and self-repeated. one track after another, they all sound almost exactly the same.

I have to say that nowdays I hate GMS...
and It's not really a taste thing...an artist will gain my respect if he does good live acts, if he doesn't release one track under two names in different places...and most important...an artist has to have fresh ideas instead of recycling everything he has done before...this my friends isn't gms....
90% of their tracks have the same loops, the same effects and the same structure...give me 3 random GMS tracks and I'll find one same element in all of them..but let's say I like 10% of their tracks which are different in some way...But I also have to say that all of their tracks do their job nicely at the dancefloor so if I heard one of their usual tracks at a party I wouldn't complain...but to listen to that stuff at home....no way...it's just too simple and recycled...I also think that their ideas were better before but recently their producion level has really grown but of course they lost the ideas...

Okay..
I hate GMS. I think their music is really simple. I find it very monotone, I think all their tracks sound the same, always the same concept, always the same "bmp + bassline" combination. I dislike the way they use samples.. I think it's really cheesy way they do it. Feels like they just throw random samples into the tracks.. I hate GMS cause they have a reputation of not respecting what they have promised. They do not always show up. Sometimes they are double or tripple booked.. and 1 goes to other and 1 to the other party.. both cash full check..

iol traveller if you say that i´m in drugs well i´m really on grugs because their soud is killer and also a psicadelic one.If you have problems with others opinion you are in the wrong place cause in here is the right place to give opinions.
If you don´t like them it is your problem but the others may have other opinion than you soo....

And Traveller, you mentioned things you dont like, negative things but cant you see nothing positive on them ?
Try to see both sides even if you dont like GMS (and noone can blame you for that)

well, I have to say I don't like 'em. Not any more, that's for sure.
I used to play them couple of yrs ago while they were releasing on Matsuri, but never after that.
Why? Because only change in their music is in the quality of the sound and production, but really nothing new when it comes to ideas.
THey have great skills, thats for sure, but I think they are specialized in making hits, and I don't like hits. I'm more into new, original and underground sound.
Also, I'm not that much into full-on though, so they are a bit too much for my taste.
But, I have respect for their knowledge in making music

GMS are the best in the dancefloor !
and they are big part in the trance history !

Sure their music works great on the dance floor, but I still prefer some variety @ parties and not 10 alike tracks in a row.. I want more than massive bass & bpm combination.. I want emotions, I want something psychedelic.. Sure uplifting tracks are nice, but GMS isn't the master of those either..
